You guys ever have one of those loose string on a sweater days?
Like you set out to do one thing but end up getting caught up doing a whole bunch of associated things until your time is gone?
Take for example I decide I'm going to backup all of my files backed up on 2 separate backup drives on my main tower to the storage on my laptop, and play halo while I wait for the fires to transfer.
I was going to use a USB transfer cable I have, but for some unfathomable reason. I would have had to skip every duplicate file individually, so I try networking both machines together with an ethernet cable.
Turns out, I have to do a shit load of backend shit to set up filesharing between 2 computers networked via ethernet, including basically disabling any file protection in both machines just to let them transfer files, after I logged into both machine's other admin account. Then after all that the sharing only let me into the User's files on the C:\> so I had to enable both drives my actual files are stored on for sharing in both machines, because I keep all of the actual files on my D:\> drives on both machines. Turns out, neither machine could write to the other so then I just had to copy files from the other computer to the computer that was receiving the file only. (Not a big deal but still needlessly frustrating)
Then while I'm doing all this I end up trying to connect this Xbox I ended up with for free to a bunch of accounts so everything in integrated for my normie shit. Then I end up going through all of my passwords saved on google and Edge to make sure all of my normie log-ins are managed and cleaned up as well as moving a shit-load of passwords I only had saved to google through my phone to edge, for my car-insurance, Taxes, Linkedin, ECT...
Then because all of my devices are desynced I need to manually type in a bunch of shit, fill blanks for login details since I had a bunch of sites saved with just passwords, just usernames or some one time code as a password and other junk before playing ring around the CV and updated all of my normie browsers. since I use Waterfox for most of my actual web activity and only have my pony and gooner credentials saved on there... for obvious reasons.
Anyway long story long, I ended up spending most of my day managing computers instead of actually playing games, because on top of all that, I finally have a copy of Halo 5 and now I can't find any matches of arena on matchmaking, and while warzone firefight is fun and all. I really want to play some of the arena games instead, because I am trying to get some achievements, and the multiplayer in Halo 5 is genuinely fun when you're not getting one shot from across the map in the nearly unplayable (Not Firefight) Warzone.
Anyway I don't know if anyone else has that kind of problem. but I do...
