I dislike

by
.... shiny, glossy, obviously ai generated pictures. Ugh!

You have NO idea how much time I spend trying to get my pictures to NOT look like that! :) but of course I generally have no idea what I'm doing and it's mostly trial and error, Photoshop, and inpainting.

As always remember to go support the real artists, I'm just messing around :D

Personally I do like the glossyness - loved that on artworks long before AI xD Hence multiple of my OCs wearing smooth swimsuits~

Yet I apreciate your efforts a lot, the AI space absolutely needs diversity in style.

Diversity is what it's all about! I'm glad we can like different things :D

AI is just a novelty to me, a product, not art.

I dislike when the characters are shiny/glossy, and I'm trying as much as possible to prevent that since I'm trying to make characters with fur and shiny/glossy fur doesn't really make sense.
But damn some models really love making them SHINY

It is  "just" a tool, for fun. But..

And, as usual, people overlook the fact that everything has two sides. And this industry is killing itself in the long run. Because if artists stop improving, especially in the area of drawing, and leave everything to this tool, then you might as well activate Skynet, because such a society is quite rightly doomed to extinction.

Is it wrong to use AI to create an OC, then edit the image to your liking, and finally use that picture as a reference for a real artist? I've always wondered this

I have commissioned art of two characters with only AI art as input so far :)
Just have a look through the artists profile and journal first in case they are one of the hardcode aggressive people, but most will take the money, I think.

AI is really good for fleshing out an idea, an actual artist is really good at actually giving it life. They both work together a bit I think, if AI didn't mean artists were going hungry I'd have 0 issue with it.

as the wise people of South park Colorado once said being a victim of the matter and they "Day Turk Hour Jerbs!"

I was a conceptual artist, but ever since AI was created, there was no longer any need for us as much anymore lol

The good news is, it certain helps create awesome visuals that spark the flame to real art and motivation :v

I still think there's a good point for people like ya, after all AI just rehashes what's already there. In a perfect world(god I hate that saying, since this should just be our world) artists like you would just be able to draw freely whatever comes to mind for the sake of putting art out there. Needs would be met because contributing art of any kind is helping the human life become richer over all.

In a place where people have a standard of living that is guaranteed from birth without needing to 'grind' day in and day out for it. AI even generative art AI, would go hand in hand with artists not so much of a competitive entity.
