's comment on SteelCat's journal. It's incredibly important and everyone has a vested interest in it
"I encourage everyone to spread these around, all quick and easy to act on so do as many as you can:
Phone numbers of various credit cards and PayPal to call and complain: https://x.com/EromancerGames/status/1948452913573232806 Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372 Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111 Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911 Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440 PayPal: +44-0203-901-7000
If you are in the US there’s both an ACLU petition and a couple of proposed laws you can write your reps/congressmen to pass (one is a house bill, one is a senate bill- similar purpose but appear to have different penalties for payment processors trying to restrict what customers/users can do. Some of those penalties look pretty darn nasty to a large financial company if I’m reading the legalese right >:3. Despite the Very Official Formatting there’s a link to find your rep a little down and there’ll be a contact link for them on their page once you look them up, remember to find the one specifically for your district so you don’t waste time filling anything out and then being told you’re contacting the wrong district, I suggest physical letters too if you track down the office addresses and such. ): https://action.aclu.org/petition/mastercard-sex-work-wo... https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bil... https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill...
Act accordingly, pass this all along, feel free to copypaste (although I know I got wordy in places so feel free to edit). Maybe chain letter style even. Add anything else you see fit. There may be something similar for Australia as well."
