I never paid attention to PayPal's fees, just paid whatever artists invoiced me then went about my day. Jfc they take a lot. Something I joked about a while ago that becomes less of a joke every time I say it is furries should open their own credit union. This shit is bananas, B-A-N-A-F-U-C-K-T-H-I-S

And paypal through Ko-Fi is even worse, Ko-Fi takes their own 5% on top of Paypal's cut, so it's like 10% total, even more with paypal's additional international fees.

It honestly shocked me. I mean, ko-fi pages are cute and all but like, dude it's just a glorified PayPal widget embed! What the heck!!

It's such a shame that crypto coins turned into some gambling scheme instead of an actually useful currency because the degree to which finance companies curtail our freedoms and leech away at every transaction we make is genuinely kinda despair-inducing.

The fucking fees on shipping outside of the US have become abominable with the reason of 'Tariffs', when it's just the US nosing the fuck around in products and ripping packages open and shit... A friend got one of his suit heads in Australia that he ordered, it was completely damaged by customs on the way OUT of the US... All the while, the maker had to pay like an extra $50 just have them -do- that... Extra fees regardless of where are fucking ass. Paypal is really fucking bad about extra fees that mean jack shit...

Man if there were only options for crypto that didn't feel sketchy as fuck (for both a business and a customer), nobody would have to worry about getting their payments shut down. Crypto has a certain fee overhead (which I think is also bullshit, tbh, but it's necessary for how it works) but it'd probably end up being worth it just to not have to worry about whether or not your payment processor is going to nuke your account arbitrarily.
