Just something I noticed on Jurassic Park

I don't even know why I'm making a journal on this, but here it is.

You know that scene where Hammond is eating tubs of ice cream because the power is out and "They were all melting"? Lights are out, candles lit all over the place, refrigeration is out, ice cream melting, everything's out, buuuuut the ceiling fans are on. You'll never unsee this.

I bet they got raked over the coals for that one.

eh, I wouldn't think so, considering how successful it was. Assuming anyone even noticed.

The thing that they don't tell you in the movie is that they have tiny little dinosaurs in each of those fans. Each of those tiny little dinosaurs are running on a hamster wheel keeping the fans going. I thought everybody knew about that! 🤔 XD

I think that could be hand-waved as some reserve power, like commonly in tropical places, some lower power things like ceiling fans can be powered by some solar panels and or one of those water-wheel things placed in rivers.
I can't remember specifics of the movie but I could swear some of the emergency lights and some limited status lights were still on.
A more practical explanation is the filming-set needed those on because the equipment can make a lot of heat.

I thought about that, but if there was reserve power going to that room, I feel the lights would be on at least.

Probably because it was hot on set.

figured, though the fans were set on very low speed.
