Most of you probably don’t know but for the last few months I was thinking about closing my Substar and barely posted there (or here for that matter).
After posting three times a week on there I’ve realized that it’s only burning me out and killing my creativity basically, so I took a step back and I think I finally figured out what I wanna do next.
Since I’ve already found out that I create/draw the best on my own time I’ve decided that I won’t be continuing with the weekly uploads like I’ve done in the past. Instead I will be releasing comics there only after I’ve drawn the whole thing and every tier will get the comic in a bit of a different time frame depending on the tier’s value. So for example-
- 50 $ tier will get the whole comic all at once (and I’m of course keeping the monthly illustration reward for this tier as well)
12 $ will get 2 pages 5 times a week (10 pages per week)
10 $ tier will get 1 page 5 times a week
5 $ tier will get 1 page 3 times a week
I will be getting rid of the 3 $ tier.
That will mean that there will be times that I won’t be uploading much but I will try my best to keep everyone updated with what I’m currently working on and the approximate time when it will be released. Then there will also be times when I will be uploading pretty much daily when I will have a full comic ready to share.
I will also be looking for sites where I will release my comics in full for a one-time payment option (itch. io seems to be a good option right now), so there will also be an option to purchase it through that.
NEW PROJECT
I’ve also decided to start treating Substar as a bit of a braindump for a project I’ve been thinking about for about a year. It would of course be a comic but a bit different than what I’ve done so far. I will start throwing out ideas in the near future, so even if I won’t have a full comic to post there will be a few posts regarding this project here and there.
WHAT I AM WORKING ON RIGHT NOW
I’m currently slowly working on a comic that will be about 50 pages long that I hope to release in early late August/early September (date might be a bit too generous though). It is of course witcher themed and full of smut, so something to look forward to!
TL;DR
I will NOT be closing Substar. I will be bulk-releasing comics after work on them is completely finished. Each tier will get an individual release schedule. I will post regular updates as well as braindumping about things I’m currently not working on.
New comic will be out in a couple of months!
INKBUNNY
I will be releasing a CENSORED version of my new comics on Inkbunny with a week delay, 3 pages per week.
Everything else, like commissions and doodles, will stay uncensored with a couple days delay, just like old times.
