Underwater 2D Artists?

Hi there, UWExplorers!
No, don't get too excited, i'm still trying my best to get into best shape. I assure you different projects are on the table right now and i'm trying my best to push some forward, may them be something from me, or from my group of friends.

That said, over the usual SFM works, the 3d models, the sound research ect...there is one specific project that has been going on for some time - a friend of mine pushed it onward for some time, and might be somewhat fascinating to me. His idea is taking one single character and make them be drawn by different artists while they go thru an underwater peril. He would pay for each work, so i'm not damaging my own wallet for this effort.

So far, this character has been drawn by 2 artists - and the project is to almost always make it a comic. One comic is still in production and being made, the other was left as is at one page. No comic will be related to the other (for reasons i'll be explaning soon) But we have planned to contact another 3 artists in the meantime. We have already looked about another 10-15 of them.
To add: not all of these artist are specialized in UW perils work, but they are willing to draw a character at least risking to drown.

That doesn't mean he can buy commissions from them all, all at once: money is still in very finite numbers so we have to take the project over careful little steps. But we would like to know about more artists out there that takes commissions or would like to.

Me and my friend are very flexible; while we prefer to make a little comic page, we can choose to not let the character drown entirely, or if the artist is specialized in more younger characters, we have covered it too (albeit we aren't talking about cubs). What we are aiming is unifying the love of underwater perils in a long collection of different styles all taken on the same character, more or less.

We already know a few of your most beloved artists, but i want to personally hear from you UWExplorers - if you know anyone who's willing to make this kind of work, let us know by commenting it here, or sending a PM to me. After taking a good look at their style (remember: we are talking about DRAWN work!), i'll see if my friend is interested into commissioning them.

If the numbers are good enough, we would like to present and release all this work by the end of 2026.
Deep UWExplorers will be able to discuss these plans on the deeper end, as i'll put a round of ideas around the end of August 2025.
