Question about prints buyers at conventions!

by
Hello!
I'd like to sell some prints of my work on my next conventions (next will be EF in September).
BUT
I am definitely not the target audience for such prints, I pretty much never look at them myself while at cons x3
SO
Question for the people who buy prints at cons!
What are you generally looking for? For what use? Specific things or just art you randomly like? SFW, erotic, NSFW? I really take any advice!
I also very much take it if there is any of my work that you think would pick interest!
(My feel is that NSFW solo stuff of well known characters is what I would sell better, but unsure about that!)

You should come to Vancoufur fur con in Canada it’s from March 5th till 8th 2026 and theme is wonderland. They have a dealers den and an after dark 18+ for the nsfw arts. Maybe you can come there and sell your stuff I think you should make both sfw and nsfw stuff. Because there are so many characters that people like that they want to see nude. That is my thought

Sadly, if I go Canada, it would be Canfurence, more people I know around there! And actually more chances to go over there than the US... Just not fond of many things x3

Have looked often at prints, but only bought maybe a handful across 5 cons.
To get a buy from me at least, you'd need to show interesting or unusual species/characters (NSFW or SFW). Really 90% of the prints are standard canines vulpines and felines with a few dragons which consequently one can get everywhere...

As for what use: In my case just cokkecting. Unfortunateky since I'm a commissioner myself, I print and put those drawings onto my wall when possible.

Gonna keep an eye out for your table at EF xP

Edit: Oh just seen the orca you've drawn recently. Cetaceans are definitely among the species you see too rarely!

Well the first two that come to my mind NSFW for printing are:

Which kinda fit!

When I look at other trade fairs or conventions, the target audience seems to be “I want to hang this on my wall.”
Without questioning your artistic quality, I don't think your work is suitable for hanging on the wall, regardless of the shown topic.
The pictures need to be ones that you or anyone else would want to hang on their wall.

Or you could try a small batch with a personal dedication to see how it goes.

I not buy prints but original art cause only those are unique. Prints can be copied. Paintings stay forever. But Prints still can be nice as long they stay limited.

A friend of mine bought one cause the artist said its an 1 of 1 print. So only one print exist. But a few years later he simply reprinted the image and now there are 5 of them. Which sucks if you bought the print to have a unique one. So maybe if you DO a print, give each one something individual. A doodle, a signature or whatever. It raises the value if there is only one-of-a-kind.

I actually sell lotsa original arts, as I come with a handful of paper sketches, considering I sketch everything on paper first!

Also not planning to sell unique prints anytime myself.

Personally I’m more inclined to buy art books or comic books BUT on the rare occasion I have picked up a print it has been a comedic piece, SFW or borderline so. My favorite was one of Corgi Lara Croft (or possibly a corgi in tomb raider cosplay, could go either way to be honest) in slightly larger than postcard size.

Will have to see, may have a couple of SFW arts that would make decent postcards but will have to see!

When I look at prints at comic cons I don't have anything specific in mind, just like to browse and see what's available and buy what i like. Have bought prints of the lion king, alien and guardians of the galaxy for example. I like to buy prints to hang them on the wall, so they have to be sfw xD but most of the stuff at comic cons is sfw, never went to a fur con
