Sorry for not being on here much. Honestly it's a mix of things. IRL troubles really threw me for a loop this past month but I'm managing... and been busy trying to make ends meet but I don't really get contacted for commissions here, most of my work comes from Discord or FurAffinity. And lastly I just don't particularly like Inkbunny all too much to be honest?
This isn't me being guilted into hating IB as some people might assume. As you may know I generally like to stand my ground on these sort of things. If anything that's worked out for me a little, a couple of the people who confronted and disrespected me over the Donkey Kong Junior drawing in 2023 apologized to me recently, it was nice getting some closure and patching things up with the ones who I cared about the most from all that nonsense.
Idk I just don't care for how porn centric Inkbunny is. FA is more my thing because there's more variety and not every anthro is in some graphic or explicit scenario. I'm indifferent to nsfw, I love cute little anthro boys but I greatly prefer SFW-ish art of them, if the front page is anything to go off of I'm definitely in the minority here. Also.. the floods of AI have made it less fun being on here. I've seen some great artists leave and be immediately replaced with people who just type in prompts. No disrespect if you just use AI like a silly tinker toy but it's a bit frustrating when AI pages get rewarded more than hardworking artists (A.K.A the backbone of this community lol)
Anyways, I've considered closing this page but honestly I'll probably still pop in here and there. I mainly need this as a place to post Tails or other cub characters I make because FA has gotten too unpredictable with their rules on that stuff....

Glad you got some measure of closure at least, over the Kong Jr.pic. I stand by my initial guesses in that journal that the people giving you a tough time were just, sadly anti-ape furries (again, more common than you'd think), or highly biased over what they complain about. Either those, or they genuinely just thought they could put a little pressure on you and that'd be enough to keep you drawing what they were comfy with. Regardless, scrambling for justification for their own knee-jerk reaction, even if their justification just highlights all the exceptions they make for the things they enjoy/choose not to react to with intent to police.
Hopefully they learned a lesson in all this And hopefully the ones closer to you that you cared more deeply about the opinions of, just had a lapse of judgement more than anything and gave sincere apologies, and aren't just conceding because they didn't expect pushback or to be made to feel like the Bad Guys.
They were out of line and hypocritical, and you were owed that closure.
...Also yeah sadly. IB is a bit oversaturated in the outright NSFW department. A part of me wants to make a bit of a joke about how your art helps tip the ratio a bit so we've got a higher amount of tubby tykes in sfw situations compared to NSFW but like... That is actually happening. So it'd be sad if you closed the page, but understandable

They didn't really get pushback. I kept their names private because I wasn't looking for drama. Essentially they were peer pressured by someone else in a group to be angry at me for having an inkbunny and doing cub art

Nyegh. :/ It's kinda sad that people looking to drive wedges between others like that with information that can have intent roughly broken down into "they draw something I don't like, and I don't like that they draw it, so I want you guys to do something about it" or something adjacent to that. Aren't just immediately ousted as bad actors and the like. But then again, that's the nature of peer pressure.
I myself have been meaning to add some clean stuff to the site, I'm not a visual artist but a writer with a taste for many things--usually expansion oriented. Just a matter of handling the logistics of whether I want clean and NSFW on the same account (but properly tagged and thumbnailed of course, because bare minimum shouldn't undershoot responsibility) or having content divided accounts, and wanting my headspace to be clear when I do actually try to contribute.
