Even death could not stop him....

by
Comic strips are alive and well, mostly online, but some- Many, actually - are still published in newspapers. You know, those large paper-things that when you touch them, ink seems to get on your fingers? Yeah, those....

Most of the time, when a comic strip's creator passes away, it's either passed on to assistants, who take it on for a number of years, or it's stopped altogether.

And then there's this one strip...... Its creator and main artist for about 50 years, died 25 years ago.

No new strips have been made since this cartoonist's passing.......

And yet, it's alive through reprints.

Not just alive, but thriving!. .....for 25 years!

To this day, it's the most read comic strip, not only in America, but in the world.

This is, of course, "Peanuts" by Charles Schultz.

2025 marks the 75th year of this comic's publication. And its birthday is in October!

BTW, I'm now down to one set to complete the "Complete Peanuts". (1979-1982, Schroeder)

Good work.  Personally, I found the penultimate volume of The Complete Peanuts to be the saddest as it contains the end of the comic run.
