(TL;DR before we get into this / Medical Stuff CW: I am home safe and sound after getting both my appendix and gallbladder removed + a 3 day hospital stay. Everything seems to have gone well, and I'm resting a lot and I will just be out of it for another week or so I think. But I had the idea for this "con" report while hella high in said hospital, and I decided to type it out really fast. So anyway!)

So I’m home safe and sound, but damn, it was one wild weekend for #GallbladCon2025.
First, I had to leave crazy early Wednesday morning, it was a real pain in the gut, but thankfully Teiran was there to handle the travel with me. Check in took at least 2 hours, and one hella expensive awoo-ber, before I got to the main hotel, and then registration took another 10! I saw soooo much of the hallway’s ceiling.
By the time I got to the O room venue for the dance, I was so out of it, that I vaguely remember hitting up some hella strange O2 bar, I don’t even remember what happened until I woke up in my room a few hours later. But boy, was I sore!
I wasn’t hella social over the weekend, I was in such a brainfog that I barely checked telegram. But the hotel staff was super nice, the night shift folks anyway.
Food was honestly a lot easier to get than even at TFF, and a lot of customizable options. There were even little popup free food markets called oddly “Nourishment Stations”, they tended to have more snacky food like popsicles, and oddly broth packets, but damn, it was better than a lot of the convention grab-and-go stands I’ve had in years past, lol.
The dealers den was a bit weird, a lot of strange mass market merch. Not really a lot.
I don’t think I’ll go back again, tho. I am far too sore, and I no longer had the admission entry fee for either #GallbladCon2025 or it’s sister convention #ApendiCon2025
But! I hope anyone else that goes has a smooth time like I did.
