Ok, so I don't use discord b/c it was set up in a way *REET* that doesn't respect privacy of the user and allows Discord to censor users. Because of this, it also exposes all of your browser saved passwords when u use Discord. I don't use discord.
Anywayz, *snort* I think it might have even been ur real friend's account. When the account gets taken over, it probably spreads the same message to all of your friends. So it helps to warn your friends if you have alt accounts, but being banned on other sites doesn't help that. Thanks for all the bans, furries. *re-REEET*
Anywayz again... they're after the saved browser passwords and taking over your account to spread it more. That's what you need to be "doing" now. Make sure all of that is locked down and changed passwords. There might be a delay in time before they get to those so that's why you should check em.

I fell for that one too, it looked more simple, they just tricked people to change passwords- This one sounds like it directly steals login info from your devices (Hacked account asks you to review a game or something), so I think it works differently by making you click a link. That's just assumptions from the messages i received before blocking and reporting, but i think it's important to know the details so others can spot suspicious behaviors.

I reported it on the link someone else pasted down here; I think I had to make another account to receive updates on the situation. It didn't took too long for an admin to answer and help me; I suppose it was because other people reported the account as stolen too, and they gave it more priority (or maybe it depends on the country).
Whatever it was, the solution from support was to "reset" my account, they un-did all changes made to the account from the last 24 hours, so my e-mail started working again and I was able to manually change my data and recover it.
If the scammer made you click a link and then your account simply stopped being yours, it is likely a different method than the one used to steal mine, but I hope the solution works the same. Good luck, and don't be too hard on yourself, it wasn't your fault, these kinds of things could happen to anyone sadly :(

If you still have access to discord on ANY device Immediately go to your settings page, then the "Devices" page and delete all the suspicious devices, or go nuclear and click "Log Out All Known Devices" at the bottom of the page.
Then try and change your password and email address back to ones under your control.

This sounds a lot like something that happened to me a ways back, though I got lucky and reacted quickly enough to lock things down before I lost my account completely...
As others have said, contacted Discord's support ASAP. If you clicked a link or downloaded anything, there may also be a RAT (Remote Access Trojan) on your PC that was used to steal logins not only from Discord but for other accounts as well that you have saved cookies for. Virus scanners have some trouble finding RATs from my experience, so unfortunately a reset/reinstall of Windows might be needed. :/

I second this, its a pain in the ass to waste a whole evening reinstalling apps and drivers but it's better than risking losing your stuff again or leaking persona info.
If you don't feel comfortable doing it by yourself it's better getting the PC to technician and have it done for you (just remember to backup and delete all the +18 stuff xD) but it is a VERY important step...
