My account is from 2017 so a couple ex friends i knew irl still have me added as a friend. Blocking wouldn’t do anything as they can still see my profile. I don’t want them somehow finding my accounts through my pfp. To add, i found someone in uni who im on meh terms with. He had kinda been stalking my discord, seeing me link my spotify and website on my bio. Not exactly good to know. The other reason is discords mass ban wave. If you see r/bannedfromdiscord on reddit you will see hundreds of people getting banned over discords stupid ai moderation. Mentioning certain letters and numbers will get you banned. People have caught up on this and have been mass reporting people they dont like. I’ve been in a lot of servers before and have left so i cant trust people to not report my messages. It’s basically a control thing. I don’t like knowing im at risk. Ban evasion is also near impossible.
