Focusing on YCH for a bit?

Hello!
As you know I commonly do art for a living and commissions is my main income, but I feel I'm getting really burn out.

So I thought of focusing a bit on YCH? What you think? Would you like more auctions?

Unlike commissions, in YCH I can make my own ideas and preferences and it helps breaking the routine.

I know multiple people gets left out when it comes to bidding so I thought of making some twists and such to give people more opportunities to get a slot.

For example:

1.- Normal bidding
2.- Multiple guests, multiple slots but the same picture and idea, so multiple people can bid
3.- No bidding, one or multiple guests, unlimited slots and autobuy at X price like 200 or something.

Just some ideas so I can change my work around to take a break from commissions every now and then.

If you're comfortable doing YCH and you want to give it a shot, I say go for it.

I think all of these options have their strengths—it really depends on the piece and what works best for you as the artist.

Normal bidding works well for detailed pieces. The added complexity and cuts can justify a higher price, so people who can afford it tend to benefit the most. That said, it can price out others, so it’s often limited to those with a bigger budget.

Multiple-slot versions are a great middle ground. If the base pose or concept is really appealing, a lot of people might jump in—especially folks who don’t check the site often or usually miss auctions. It also gives more people a chance to get a piece from you at a more accessible price.

Flat-price, unlimited-slot YCHs open the door even wider. These are great for people who just want to be included or may not care as much about uniqueness. While they’re not as exclusive, they give more fans a chance to own something from you.

Nevertheless, it’s all about balance. These different formats let you break routine, draw ideas you personally enjoy, and still give your audience varied ways to connect with your art. Testing the waters with each type could show you what feels good creatively and what resonates most with your audience.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll test around with some ideas and see how they work.
