So I was told the purge of 3D art was put to a halt? Not sure if thats true but was shown this screenshot and I am absolutely insulted beyond my limit, this mod literally stated that 3D artists do the same thing that people in Secondlife do to take photos, as someone who was once a secondlife photographer and now a 3D artist dabbling in both sfm and blender I can out right say without a doubt it is NOT the same as FUCKING SECONDLIFE To explain in details

3D art make model and or spawn in model, pose it, texture it, (have it crash 50 times over cause why the fuck not) lose your sanity, sleep.....please sleep its important to keep the demons away, wake up next day, chug an ungodly amount of caffeine by any means necessary just to keep the voices away, get back on the 3D program, put the model in said pose you want, build scene, rezz in things for said scene (crash another 45 times cause god hates us and likes to see us suffer), depending on what software you are using put in codes and texture work to fit the model or make it work the way you like, after 100 more hours finally finish, export the image, clean it up if need be, slap on your watermark, then post for someone to jerk their meat furiously somewhere, go to sleep, repeat the same steps and ask god when will our suffering end....no reply
in short, 3D artwork, blender, DAZ, SFM, MMD is NOT SCREENSHOTS cause you are actually rendering models unlike secondlife where you buy avatar and slap it on a poseball

And yes the 3D community is rather big....and no...they don't LIKE secondlife photographers cause they see them as an insult so maybe you should think about this really hard on why comparing us to SL photomakers is a bad idea >:(
As someone who really wants to get into 3D modeling and animation, I can agree that the 3D modeling purge is stupid. In my little bit of dabbling, 3D modeling definitely ain't easy. I would even argue that using other people's models can still be a valid method of making art, since there's still a lot of effort and creative decision making in posing and animating the characters, not to mention setting up the scene.
3D art has their own well established tags (which 2D art doesn't), making it easy to blacklist, and it's not like there's that much of it on this site, so why can't they just let people have it?

I would but even then they wouldn't, theres many videos out there of such things that anyone can just look up and see the work put into these works and besides after being horribly insulted and put in the same category as secondlife photographers, I rather not put in the that much effort cause i know it'll go over their heads :/
