Hey guys! A friendly reminder, I do check my comments, and I do delete ones I feel aren't really done in good taste to the artwork. You can see all that right on my profile. I delete RP-ish comments, I delete mean comments, I delete horny comments on SFW pieces, and I delete obscenely dirty comments on all work.
This now applies to ignorant comments in regards to the artist.
If you make a comment saying "This is lovely art you made!" or "You did really good on this" it is HIGHLY disrespectful....
It shows you did not read the description at all, and thus had no interest in reading about who helped create the image.
Descriptions are your friends, guys. A good description can even give additional context to an image to further illustrate what's going on. But at minimum, it also gives credit. I always, ALWAYS make sure to provide a link to the person who did the art. If it is a sketch that I colored, I link to who sketched it. Because they deserve the credit. They deserve the attention. That link is there for you to go check them out. Maybe even see if more of their stuff is to your liking! Maybe even commission them!
Acting as if I drew it when I paid a fantastic person with my money is gross, rude, and inappropriate--when the credit is RIGHT THERE in the description that you didn't read! If you can't understand English, Google Translate is your friend, it'll get most of it right at least! There is no reason to write comments like this.
I'm done holding people's hands and correcting them when they could have avoided such an egregious statement just by reading the damn description. From now on, if you make a comment that discredits the artist behind the piece, it's getting flat out removed and flagged in my own personal little log. No warning, no correction, no mercy. Repeated instances will get you banned.
