Fantastic Mr. Fox
I love about everything in this movie. From the production design to the characters and story, the way their fur arranges and how they behave, I could talk about it for hours but maybe I'll make a journal for it in the future.
I think everyone should give it a watch and see what they like for themselves...The Isle of dogs is also pretty nice and it has some of my favorite scenes in cinema.
Sonic
One of my most recent hyperfixations (deeply into sonadow), but I've always liked the stylization and character design, even in Boom; I don't have a lot to say about the games because I've not played a lot of them yet, but SA1&2 need to be remade so bad. I should maybe read the comics at some point.
101 dalmatians, The aristocats, The Fox and the Hound, Lady and the tramp (sequels too).
Depending on your personal taste you can also include Robin Hood and other Disney-dark-era movies; Back when I was little I really liked the stories and got crushed on some of the characters too...Balto is not from disney, but Im counting it too.
In principle, these are based on nostalgia, so I can't say if they're objectively good to watch -- Except for the Balto sequels, I think they get bad after the second one--, but I think they're good to study expressions and poses on ferals, and an example on good "sketchy" lineart.
"Dragones: Destino de Fuego" & "El lince Perdido"
Old indie and spanish-native movies; I don't even think there's any english dubs, but I need to talk about them because they're core memories of mine. They have a lot in common.
The first one has anthro dragons! I vividly remember it was the first thing that made me draw an anthro; I thought they looked pretty cool, sadly I think I've lost all of them. Besides the main character design, there's not much else to it; the story could be better, and dear god, almost every other character is hideous.
The second one is about lynxes and its even harder to find, but I think the story was good, unlike the one about dragons; I have a digital copy of it, but I don't want to watch it because the graphics haven't aged well (Except for the main character, I will love him forever). I had a CD somewhere with a better resolution, but it's probably gone forever, lost within my house.
Heck, maybe I'll reclaim the lynx boy one day and make some fanart. he was really cute.
Digimon (season 3)
I've never watched the final episode...they used to air it on TV, but we were visiting some relatives on the day they played it; my mom had to go out to take my brother to a doctors appointment, and didn't let me stay... I think I even cried that day :(
Maybe I'm afraid of watching the parts that I didn't get to, now that I have free internet access. Someday I'll finish it.
I also have a CD with the first half of the episodes, dubbed in latinamerican spanish; it's one of my most beloved possessions ever since I got it when I was 11
Ducktales (the 2017 version)
Generally I don't care much about birds, but this show was pretty nice story wise and the designs were cute. I can see myself getting into avians if I had saw it as a kid lol.
Somehow they made the beaks feel like snouts; the ducks look more nice than the mammals imo. I also liked the backgrounds.
Bartok the bat
From the Anastasia movie; he has big ears and looks bald, so maybe thats' where I got it from. He even got a movie of his own; I just like his design, he's neat.
If I remember more I'll add them later; if you got any "niche" or unknown things that made you into a furry, drop them in the comments, Im curious, don't let them die in the corners of your mind :3
