This site is still the best place I know of for furry art and stories. It has its flaws. I might have disagreements with someone in power on the site. But I haven't seen the outright hostility towards me or my interests that I have seen on other sites. I haven't gotten banned, threatened, or even mocked for saying I'm genderfluid. I haven't had stories deleted for having fictional characters in them who aren't adults.
Besides, the more of us leave, the quieter our voices get here. And nothing is stopping us from existing on more than one website.
I just want the admins to enforce the hateful bullshit I'm seeing that directly targets trans individuals, including the ones threatening towards them. I've got a few tickets up that haven't been touched yet, including one who actively is targeting another trans user who has them blocked through journals on a sock puppet account.
I want Green to be a better person, but he won't be unless he decides to be. We'll butt heads, but we don't hate each other. He also isn't actively wanting trans people to stop existing, but he's not doing anything about the people on the site that -DO- want that. That is the part I vehemently disagree with.
I'm not going anywhere either, in hopes the other moderators will pick up the slack and hopefully have the will to stomp out the bigotry, or at LEAST the hateful and harassment campaign journals that some users are posting. FFS, some of these people don't even have art in their galleries, or stopped posting art over 8 years ago, and are just here to rile up others.

I agree. One moderator alone doesn't destroy a site's credibility, but can still do a lot of damage. Just look at what happened to FurAffinity when hundreds of bad-faith mass reports resulted in mass suspensions of babyfurs. Even after the other mods did their best to set things right and policies changed, the damage to trust was done.
Though that sort of action has rather more limited consequences here, where submissions considered in violation are just hidden instead of deleted.
But here the problem is one of inaction rather than hasty action, and the subject is harassment of other users. And there's where my own knowledge of the situation starts to rely really heavily on others, since I haven't so far experienced the harassment myself, nor moderator inaction on the same. If things keep going the way they're going though, I might well get that in time. Hopefully we'll see some progress before then.

As I told Green, if he gets too much variety in his moderatorship that they don't line up, you'll have Russian Roulette on whether a ticket is answered correctly or not. FA before the step down had this problem. You could report a rightwing troll who's spouting about his right to murder people and listing off descriptors of who that might be (Trans/Queer/A specific furry), and there was an 50% chance it would get taken down. 20% chance it would get taken down and the user suspended. 15% chance that you'll be told that they did nothing wrong... And a 5% chance you actually get warned for reporting them... I had that happen once a couple years ago for reporting someone who literally said another user, unnamed, deserves to suffer for being trans. The ticket and warning were revoked 4 months later when I reopened it (It took 4 months to get to) when I appealed my warning, and the user had already been permanently suspended in that time for escalating to threats of violence.
I understand that we need to self moderate. If I see someone into stuff I don't like, I block. But if I see someone spreading lies about another user to destroy their art business, that shit needs to be quashed. If I see someone only here to rile up others and cause trouble, that needs to be quashed. We shouldn't tolerate trolls because of 'expression'. x_x

that's about where I'm at with it. Despite current problems, there's really just nowhere else for me to go. E621 doesn't support written format, FA still has it's cub ban, Baraag is formatted like a microblogging site and is not really good for art, especially writing, and pretty much everywhere doesnt have room for somebody into the stuff I'm into.

Yah—I saw a few people leaving for an old-style phpBB forum that allows cub stuff but it just didn't seem like it was a very good space for being an art/writing gallery like Inkbunny, because that's not what it's structured for.
