A use for AI that isn't so bad?

I know every one is up in arms about AI but I was thinking on one particular instance where it could be useful and do a job on the fly I don't think any one or group of people could do. Okie so here it goes. So you got Musk yes I know musk yuck eww but here me out you got his Cyber Link project. What if the CL could reconstruct memories into VR using AI to rebuild it from what little bits of info you brain is sending off. A memory is always foggy and hazy never goes into full view but with AI it could in theory take what is provided and turn into something that is more in depth and detailed.

Also if ya think about one could make art with this same idea using brain waves...
just think of a scene and it shits some thing on screen and call it art :P

Any ways just something to contemplate.

Hmm... if that were possible it could also work as an aid to communication for people who have a lot of trouble putting their thoughts into words.

This is more possible, since reading thoughts is easier than recreation of damaged signals.

(Easier... We're just now getting into that technology, and it's super hit or miss... But anyways... You know what I mean...)

I would not trust a man like that putting a chip in anyone's brain when he wants to control what people think of him. He doesn't want to benefit the world with technology, he wants to control it.

Anyways, We're barely getting memory construction technology, and due to how the brain works, it doesn't 'reconstruct' memories, it just pulls from the signals already there, unfortunately. Having AI 'hallucinate' a memory is no different than someone misremembering something over time. "Was she in a red dress?" AI: "Yes" "Oh she was then!" (But she wasn't.)

I know where you heart is, but the technology isn't there. Reconstructing memories is a difficult thing, and one of the things scientists are trying to crack in fighting dementia and Alzheimer's.

100% his cyber link is going to be the system that is used to placate the masses further into submission and docility. It would be nice though, if someone not hell bent on shaping the world into his warped image were to do something like that, with plenty of safeguards and oversight (and actual experts running the whole thing)

Yes sadly. For now I hope this all only remains an idea until it can be in more capable and less selfish hands one we can all benefit from.

AI is a controversial topic that many people fear. It has been around for a long time and has both good and bad aspects. Virtual reality can be helpful for escaping reality, but creating things with your thoughts could be both beneficial and a curse. Some memories are intentionally blocked out, but the brain may highlight beneficial memories. AI art is a tool that artists and non-artists can use. There are misconceptions about what AI can do, and artists may struggle to compete with AI's lack of prejudice. We can coexist with AI and advanced technology, and it could be beneficial for recovering or revisiting memories. Using the brain to create images and memories could be possible in the future.

unfortunately, any project Musk is involved with will not be used for good but rather to abuse technology for his personal profit whilst actively harming other people's lives with his horrendous track record of blatant bigotry, pitchfork-rattling against individuals who call him out, theft of other people's products to claim as his own, and an incredibly-lax safety record.

The idea of a VR reconstruction of one's memory is a neat idea, but CyberLink is so poisoned a project by the man spearheading it that any discussion of it being used for good is a moot point so long as he still runs a company.

Only the stupidest people alive would allow Musk and his stolen companies anywhere near their brains.  Or a hospital for that matter.

WebMD does a better job than AI currently can.  Noone sane in the medical or programming fields would ever allow this.

an EEG device connected to an AI could theoretically help non-verbal communication with people that have neurological anomalies or suffer a severe brain trauma... you may accidentally had a big idea here that could save lots of lives, think of the possibilities, it could help people in a vegetative state regain motor function by stimulating the brain into a higher activity level, or help non-verbal / low-functioning autistic people into communicate their feeling in a way neurotypical people could understand
