So, my writing has been kinda stagnating. I still get stories popping up in my head but never seem to have the RL time to sit down and get them into a document. I had big plans for Dafydd and Sarah, still do, have their entire lives pretty much storyboarded out. Same for Tyler, Eon, Terry & Danette, I know what parts of their lives I want to write, know at least the major bullet points of their futures...
I love crossing over with other writer's characters. Dipping mine into their worlds and vice versa. A bunch of us are part of a "shared world" where that's possible, for at least some of our story arcs. But effective collaboration takes time. Time I simply don't seem to have. And, it pains me to admit it, I'm not exactly getting any younger.
a little while ago, that came to a head for me a bit. He was one of the writers I loved to work with and we'd shared countless discussions about character development and crafting engaging tales (provided the characters actually cooperated once they'd "come alive" and started telling their own stories) even outside the space where we both collaborated with other writers. That "gap" where he used to be is telling me I need to get off my arse and just tell some damn stories.
So here we go. I won't be able to keep up a fast posting rate, but Dafydd and Sarah are already moved to Winter Creek, as
and I had discussed and are living in "his town" in our shared world. That story has to continue. In some aspect, at least, that's keeping him with us in spirit. Danette and Terry have a bright future together and I have a new couple just made their debut.
