After very deep consideration, I have decided to retire from the Pokedex (and posting in general) once the Hoenn region is completed. I do not make this decision lightly, and I have not lost passion for the project, but logically, it’s become something that’s impossible for me to keep up with. My life has become busier and busier with time, and the fact of the matter is, I have to divert the time I’ve been spending on this project to more important areas of my life. Stuff that will translate outside of a niche part of the internet lol.
I wish I had eternity, because I have the passion and drive, but there’s no way around the confines of time. Sometimes you have to cut out aspects of your life because there’s plainly not enough time/resources for everything you want to do. There were so many Pokemon I wanted to draw and ideas I wanted to convey, but there are also other things in life I want to do even more.
Thank you to everyone who has been with me on this journey, supported me, or enjoyed my art in any way. This isn’t necessarily goodbye forever, but I also cannot make any promises of a return. It brings me no joy to let this part of my life go, and I am forever grateful that other people enjoyed the art I was passionate about.
