Don't know if talked about this already buuuut
1. Raise the rating to TV-PG-DLV or TV-14. I want Gumball to have grown up with the audience that watched the original and for a show that already feels like it was pushing boundries with its twisted humor it feels right.
Some added mild swearing and maybe some blood/darker jokes would make it feel like it has grown up with it's audience. More the iCarly revival than Adult Party Cartoon (I like most of the edgy shows but that and Velma are the only truly shit ones)
2. Have an episode satirizing antiwoke geek media controversies. Its canon Gumball already played The Last of Us (called a zombie videogame). It'll be like Gumball plays A Zombie Videogame Act II and is so upset at the story that he makes a antiwoke grifter bait Elmore Stream It Channel and eventually the plot becomes stopping Gumball from doing a terrorist attack to Horny Cat and Soppy Interactive Entertainment. I also want the Gumball satire to get meaner as time goes on. A lotta stupid shit happened in this world lately. Gumball can take South Park's and The Boondocks' place.
3. Resolve The Void plot. It's likely The Movie will not follow the plot of fighting The Void's apocalypse (theres a flash game that is a parody of multiverse movies called Multiverse Mayhem and it seems to use assets from a Gumball project not released yet) so resolve The Gumball Movies original plot in Season 7. The Portrait and The Cancellationgation feel like they would be the episodes to do that plot of The Void returning to end Elmore.
4. Joke about the unreleased status of The Gumball Movie in universe make it a running gag. It would be funni to see how bothered the shows writers and animators are that The Movie is still in limbo.
5. Age up the characters. Its been 6 years since The Inquisition aired I wanna see the adventures of the characters as teens.
6. More crazy animation switchups and guest directors. They already did a banger job in the original series so continue that.
7. Jokes at Warner Bros. expense - VERY YES
8. Anais obsesses over a Bluey expy - (because Daisy ended and she got into it as a replacement)
