Tropes in babyfur/diaper stuff you don’t like?

Still trying to take it a bit easier in this department but it is kinda fun to talk to people.

So I guess one thing that we could cover: What are some things in babyfur/diaper art and stories that you don’t like?

A few for me:
Leaking and blowouts: The occasional accident in your big kid undies is fine, but other than that I prefer everything stays contained in the diaper/pullup. I guess that’s getting into watersports/scat territory.

Spanking: I see this come up with some babyfurs. It never entered my interests, maybe because I was never spanked as a kid. In any case, I don’t fave anything with spanking.

Exhibitionism: A bit uneven, but I can get turned off from something if there is too much exhibitionism around a used diaper. Some attention is okay but then there’s overdoing it.

TV/Movie/Comic: For the most part I don’t like seeing popular media characters like from TV shows and such in diapers. It’s kinda like, I wouldn’t depict someone’s OC in diapers unless I knew they were OK with it. There are exceptions for characters who have canonically been showed regressed and/or in diapers. A couple scenes in FairlyOddparents are part of what got me in to regression and diapers. And a few characters I’m just kinda arbitrarily okay with.

Hypermessing: I liked some hypermessing stuff in my early days but for the most part I just see that as overdoing it. Though I am more okay if the big, full diaper is just a cartoonish representation.

I don't like blowouts either. Nor anything hyper at all

And i don't really do messing either. Yeah, i know that might make a bit on the bland side since wetting is the only usage i like, but i've never been into it.

Exhibitionism...yeah, heck no.

I noticed there was no messing in your stories, at least the ones I’d seen.
Kinda fits though, since you seem to focus more on pullups than taped diapers.

Agree with you on the Exhibitionism, TV/Movie/Comic characters, and Hyper anything really. Also not a fan of macro/micro stuff (species size differences are ok). And the phrase "crinkle-wag" is particularly irksome. Really anything that puts the diaper as the focus all the time instead of the character--I find that to be lazy from a creative standpoint. Give me a picture or story with a bit of depth.

It's tricky for me, cuz it depends on how it's done.

Perosnally, i don't like insta regressions, but in these things.. well,

blowouts it's a no no. I'm ok with messy diapers as long as there's not details on the damage, with exception of silly teases.

spanking, it depends on the story, the age of the kid and the context for it. I don't like when it has spankings just for having them, like "oh, you got a question wrong on test, spank time". nope. But i'm aware of it being used as a punishment and a way to make the "kid" learn on big things like when a kid steals something, or does something serious.

i understand who doesn't like that at all, but for me, hardly anything is black and white, everything is a gray area where i get limits on a topic.

and the exibithionism part, yeah. i don't like stories where a diaper is the main character, if you know what i mean xD

Hyper is a big no for me xD be it diaper, muscle, wetting or anything mostly. i leave these for cartoons like looney tunes xD

You prefer a bit by bit regression? Admittedly I have seen some fun “poof” regressions.

As to my stories, I do try to get some stuff in between diapers-centric scenes.

for pictures it can work. but for stories, i prefer the "dealing with the regression" thing. it can be like "sleep grown up, wake up baby". i'm just not a fan of insta baby like, 2 seconds. I do read them, and having context and description it works for me.

yeah. on mine they're a good part, but still not the main star of the show =D

Well you did just give an interesting idea: Waking up in a lucid dream where you’re a toddler. It happens every night until you start questioning which is real and which is the dream.

Actually I guess I’m kind of thinking of Found.

i've been thinkin on star's other comic, Housebroken... thinin in a city designed for bigs and littles, but am figuring out if/how the regression will happen there x3

Yups. but i was thinkin on like, a fur going there with their partner and he end up being the baby, so instead work he'd go to school, sports would be like a little's league and stuff... maybe something like bigger species are the parents and little species the little ones...

yep. i gotta plan everything, cuz everytime i keep getting ideas for it or thinkin on how stuff wouldn't work.

like,
-would have real kids around? what if someone gets pregnant there? would they raise both together?
-would be full time diapered outside or in schools, or could eventually try potty training or the fun underoos with their name written on their back?
-regression or not?

i do need to organize it to make it flow smoothly x3

Ooh that does sound fun. Keep me posted on progress there.
I have thought about baby diapers fitting adults of smaller species in a setting like Zootopia. And a couple people have toyed with that idea, but not quite in the way you’re thinking.
It does make me think of ideas. Like maybe not a full regression but a partial change to things like the voice.

i agree with you on the spanking and exhibitionism pretty much entirely, but i actually like the other stuff you mentioned haha.

on exhibition specifically: i think to me its just like... i dont feel like anyone should have to feel embarrassed about diapers, so i just dont have any reaction to this one lol.

a trope i personally dont enjoy is robot arms or ghost hands and other stuff like that. i much prefer there be real care for the child character(s) from a person with their own personality and stuff! in that same vein, i dont like when the child character(s) is(are) under duress about the whole thing... i enjoy seeing them enjoy it at least in part!

Definitely agree with you on the leaking/blowouts front! Importantly, I won't unwatch artists or block keywords for including things I don't like, because I might want to look at the art regardless for including things I do like. I just won't interact with it as much is all.

For me, my dislikes would be forced diapering/babying. Though, the exception would be when that's absolutely necessary like a babyfur not wanting to wear diapers for bedwetting or incontinence for the forced diapering and a babyfur not behaving while physically regressed with the babying. I prefer when everything is consensual and when the person doing the necessary diapering/babying at least tries to convince the one they're diapering/babying that it's necessary.

Related to the above is humiliation due to accidents, bedwetting, and needing to wear diapers. I usually prefer for the diapered one to at least be able to preserve their dignity and/or be comfortable in their diapers. I prefer for someone to talk to them in order to reassure them that everything is ok.

I also don't like extreme focus on diapers but am ok with them being described in detail. Just, having to write 'diaper this' and 'diaper that' gets tiring after some time, especially if there's a quota on sentences. With the quota for roleplays, it just forces you to be repetitive and say nothing in a ton of words in order to just finish the turn and get what you actually wanted to write sent.

Robot arms and diapering machines are a big no for me. I prefer a separate character or the character themselves doing the diapering.

I've never loved humiliation and shaming and "comeuppance". I get it's a big part for some people but it's not why I enjoy regression, and I wish it was easier to avoid.
