I had an idea for a dark or anti-hero team for comics I thought Id throw out and get some feedback from you fine folks. I know there's already been teams like "The Elite" from DC of supers who are taking out the bad guys for good but I was thinking of it in a slightly different manner; being that this team would take down normal criminals/terrorists/ect. but when it comes to super villains (AKA people with powers) they take them down and de-power them by stealing their powers and thus rendering them normal people so they are no longer a threat.
The team leader (I'm still working on the details) is able to manipulate people's bodies, mess with their DNA or what ever, in order to steal what makes them special and then can use it himself or divide it up among the other members of his team so they all have those powers.
This would be seen as a threat to other super heroes as there's always a possibility they could be the target of this team or that this team would become too powerful at some point. There's also the odd legality of their actions, beating up a super criminal and leaving him cuffed for the cops is one thing but stealing his equipment or powers might have repercussions.
I'm not going to TL;DR this so I'll leave it at what I've said so far and wait for feedback and questions.
