Fears for the Internet & Future plans.

by
there are 3 topics I have to tell somebody. They are intertwined and generate new problems for me the more I think about them.
- 1. The internet is going to be completely consumed by AI and largely already is. And there are various other poisons making the Internet less enjoyable and less engaged with socially, as well.
Twitch chat spam, ecelebrity parasocial relationships, AI chatbots, twitter's "the internet is for being mean to people" culture, Reddit censorship culture, mega Discord servers with 80,000 people where you spam with no expectation of getting a response. These are all very popular things everybody is indulging in and making the Internet horrible.

All of it is circular and all of it poisons the well in a unique way, and it fucks up everybody. Even if you don't engage with an AI chatbot yourself, the people you encounter will, and they'll be fucked up from it in unexpected ways. Do you see? You can avoid calling people retarded on twitter, and you can avoid getting into circular arguments about politics on twitter, but you will inevitably encounter these people elsewhere outside of twitter and your experience on the Internet is worse each time an encounter happens. You will become fatigued by meeting these horrible people over and over and over, even if you manage to maintain a purity for yourself. You will be less likely to engage with the Internet socially after repeated failures with horrible people. Now you have become a horrible person, too, in a different way.
All of us are fucked.
Furry has a degree of immunity because corporations won't touch us. There will (probably) never be Russian bot accounts spamming Inkbunny. But as I said, Inkbunny furries will see the horrible AI bots and the Twitch culture elsewhere on the Internet, and become hardened and disillusioned all the same.

Why talk to others when you can talk in Asmongold chat? Why talk to others when you can listen to a podcast? Why create content for the Internet when you can call people retarded on twitter for fun instead? Doesn't calling people retarded on twitter count as content creation? Do you really need new friends? Don't you already have friends? In the furry server with 50,000 people where nobody has ever replied to you even once, that is sort of a friend group right? Why talk when a Reddit automated AI moderator will just delete the post? Why talk to others when the only replies to your posts are AI bots?

These are all questions people are facing on the Internet right now.
I have joined dozens/hundreds of Discord servers with user counts around 10-100 these past 4 years, you know, personal Discord servers for friends or a specific hobby. All except 1 were dead. People simply aren't chatting in chatrooms the same way anymore. I see this as a sign of the cancer fully metastasizing and the Internet is over.  People would rather write "u are an ugly cunt" on twitter and get 0 replies instead of befriending you. That's the reality as I see it. The social needs of today's Internet users are fulfilled from that and podcast sharts, YouTube essays.

-2. The only way to combat this is to create your own Internet desert oasis where you discuss your likes and dislikes without Internet hell influence and with zero AI involvement, and hope that other likeminded individuals find you and you can create some sort of Tent of Meeting (Numbers 3:38) together and fiercely ban Twitch chat freaks and twitter freaks. It's the only future there is for people like me. People that are angry with this direction have to combat it by posting on the Internet in a positive way more instead of secluding themselves.

-3. I sort of want to seclude myself. It's hard to find motivation to start doing this. I'm very mentally ill and don't play well with others. And I'm mostly completely socially fulfilled already. I have a roommate, I have around 5 friends on Discord, I even have a long-distance boyfriend now. I may be sort of a person who has outgrown the Internet. I'm 28 and I'm embarrassed to overshare my down's syndrome thoughts and opinions now. And many of which are very niche and would be uninteresting to people.
I would be basically creating an oasis with no intention of making friends out of it. It would be purely out of spite and quite antisocial ironically. I have my 6 friends and my 1 IRL friend, and my plate is full and the door is closed to new friends. I can barely handle the ones I have.
Is that really such a thing I should create? I feel like I have to. I deeply love the Internet and I would kill myself if I didn't have a computer.

I think I will make a channel on Odysee and publish content there. People need to see a human face that has no intention of taking money from them. Money is what's ruined YouTube and created this culture ultimately. There would be no cringe AI spam if it was not profitable.
I won't hold a tin cup up to people on my channel. It completely changes the way people talk in videos when they aren't trying to manipulate money out of your wallet. I think people will be able to sense that about me and see my face and know that I am not an AI voice, and it will provide some level of comfort and reminder of how things used to be before Twitch and AI took a steamy diarrhea all over the Internet.

Here are some fun quotes for you to consider:

"Traffic from human users fell to just 50.4%. "Automated bots will soon surpass the proportion of internet traffic coming from humans"
Meta's embrace of artificial intelligence (AI) may soon alter the way that billions of users socialize on its apps. According to the Financial Times, the tech giant is planning to roll out millions of generative AI characters that will appear as users on Facebook and Instagram."
"Around 80% of users will use chatbots when they're offered. Most people don't tend to seek out chatbots, but 80% of internet users will use them"

I hate how AI is being forced upon people. I think it should be an option, not mandatory, not an intrusion.
