I am angry. Angry about SUBSCRIBESTAR!

Almost a month ago they soft locked my account. Meaning that I couldn't post anything new, and no one new could sub to it nor could anyone renew their sub. I sent a message asking why and they cited ONE post saying the shota character raised concerns. I sent a message back asking why and what could be done. This was roughly 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard back. I sent a reminder message asking what the situation was about 2 days ago and still nothing. Thankfully I was able to withdraw the money that was still in the account but no new money is coming in; and I'm not sure if anyone can even message me there anymore. Someone reported that it said my account was disabled; but I am still able to log in and see everything I've posted.

So basically, fuck Subscribestar. If I don't get it back, I'll have to use some sort of alternative.

Direct payment system with you? Maybe through Discord and using PayPal or cryptocurrency for payments? The downside would be managing it, but at least it's better than having nothing for now. It seems like an option, I guess.

If this idea sounds stupid, maybe you could try using Fanbox or hire someone to create a private site.

Fanbox is already moving the same direction Patreon and SubscriberStar went. A lot of artists complaining they are banning posts for using sholi-related tags. Combine that with strict censorship requirements.

Doing some sort of direct payment and posting pics on a discord/telegram server works, but it'd probably be almost impossible to get new people onboard. It's so much easier to have a link people can click to a trusted site and get set up that way, instead of saying "If you want to support me, first you give me money via paypal/venmo/whatever, and THEN I'll give you a link to a private discord server that you have to manually pay me monthly for". It's sort of a last resort thing I'll have to do.

Also, I pretty much have no idea how crypto works. I don't know how to set up a wallet or how to withdraw/convert the crypto into US$ into my bank account or anything. The only stuff I've messed with was with Coinbase and that ended up being a disaster. There's a site I know called backed.by that's a crypto only alternative to sites like Patreon/SS. And the story is, the guy who made it (Dick Masterson) tried to create an alternative site called New Project 2 that took credit cards and stuff, and Mastercard basically dropped him because he was hosting some right -wing people on it. So he ended up making that crypto-only site.

Hiring someone to create a site is pretty much right out, no way I could afford that.

I think my best bet, assuming SS doesn't reverse this soft ban or whatever's going on, is to have people sign up for Patreon, and give people who want it a link to a Discord/Telegram server, and I'll just manually keep track of users who've paid every month. I can't technically link to my Patreon on this site, but I can probably have something like: patreon.com / emenius

Your BASED attitude of standing up to people and joking around is something I admire in you, though I think it might come back to bite you now.

Discord doesn’t really tolerate this kind of content, and people who don’t like you might actively try to get you in trouble by reporting your server and your Patreon. Honestly, if I were you, I’d be cautious about running both, as people on the internet can be more vindictive than they seem.

Good luck, I hope nothing bad happens, though I feel like it might.

Yeah, I'm aware of what could happen. Which is why I'd most likely use Telegram, since I'm pretty sure they don't give a fuck what kind of drawn content is on there. I'd just have to get familiar with how to use it. And if I use Patreon to "collect payment" for it, I would just never mention it on my page there.

I kept forcing it to renew another month for a long time on payments, but I suspect you got all of that recently.

I'm fine paying for monthly subscription/seeing more of your works like you did on subscribestar. And i got many ways i can pay. Just let us know what you feel will work best for ya

I'll see how things play out this month. Maybe they'll get back to me, who knows. But I'll let you know once I ultimately decide. I suspect, though, I'll have to end up making some sort of Discord/Telegram server to post stuff.

One method I've seen used it through locked megaupload folders. Artist I'm thinking of did a more paranoid double password system. Their (Very) paranoid method involved use of Pastbin, Tumblr and discord to access their content.

They upload their gallery to MU, lock it behind a password and people at that tier get to see the post with the password. Their discord has a link to their tumblr page with a link to the pastebin page. The monthly password unlocked the pastebin with a direct link to the Mega upload.

End of the month delete the post with tumblr, make a new pastebin page with the link. People still have access to the whole gallery of pictures but it's hosted off site, and none of the offsites directly point to the porn so it's less likely to get picked up by bots etc. Not like they're going to softlock you for having a substar page that says "Password: 123456" and no link.

I'm planning to filter my fans into Kofi soon. Kofi doesn't allow NSFW but if you play your cards right you can circumvent it. Patron rewards can be distributed on Discord or via Dropbox links on email lists or someplace other than Kofi. Not the best option for everyone but Kofi has less fees than both Subscribestar and Patreon and is much less... controversial.

I was thinking of kofi being my best bet probably. I already have one setup so I wouldn't have to make a new account on another site like venmo or something. And it does have a messaging system I could use. It also has a subscription system, which either didn't exist or I never noticed it way back when I made my account.

If things don't work out on SS, I'll probably go this route.
