EDIT: i am safe from the wrath of god

while i have not (as of typing this) been banned from paypal, i am experiencing a payout delay through fanbox which is extremely unusual. I have seen a lot of people getting banned from paypal recently who have had fanboxes, so for upcoming commissions until I am certain my paypal is safe:

I can be paid for smaller commissions on cashapp (US only i believe)

as well as stripe (invoice)

you will not need a stripe account to pay me.

please keep this in mind if you are interested in commissioning me as i will not be using paypal this week unless my fanbox payout comes through safely.

PP, along with most payment processors, have recently banned all porn/adult and mature artwork.

I don't recommend you (or anyone else) to put your payment methods so visible, it may be annoying but this is how they end to link it up with you and your content and get you banned.

its not visible at all. only shared between clients. my payouts from fanbox are the only thing thats tied to paypal but fanbox just sends it to the email associated with your paypal account; its not “linked” per se. i knew it was a risk going into it but all other methods of getting paid monthly failed :/

Is this a bot reply?  It's completely off base.  Almost none of the affected people are advertising the content publicly!  That has never been a protection!

It's like people think they can just *make up* ways to be exempted from websites' policy then they get angry it doesn't work.
Utterly confusing.

Somethings I saw on another journal.  Look into Wise, might work for you.

Other than that, might be time to make a crypto wallet. It's pretty easy nowadays for people to pay someone in crypto from a credit card. BitPay is the first thing that I found, but you should be able to find other sites/exchanges.

Fees will suck since they're applied when getting paid, selling your crypto for money, and transferring the money to your account. And you'll have to deal with volatile crypto prices. But you can just leave the crypto in your wallet and buy stuff with crypto,  mostly giftcards but some online stores allow for direct crypto payments (rare).

Crypto is rarely ever useful.  Of the artists I know who accept it, they get maybe one or two commissions a year maximum, and only small ones.  Plus the fees and delays are many times higher than any payment provider out there.

Crypto is a gigantic scam and waste of time, money, resources, computer power, and shouldn't be fucked with, period.

I agree it's not as useful as it could be. You can get banned from paypal/stripe, you can get banned from sites that holds your crypto wallet account. I just offered the advice incase they needed it. Wise was my first option for them.

Signing up and making accounts is mostly the same, paying someone via a credit card is the exact same. The fees are not many times higher than paypal or stripe, they are often lower or the same. But you will pay a fee with withdrawing which sucks, plus crypto prices can be violent so a $100 commission can quickly become an $80-$70 commission.  I would recommend accepting payments in USDC since it's pegged 1:1 to USD.

I do agree on delays, it's not always as straight forward as it should be and if you crypto drops before you get your money I believe you just have to eat the loss.
And I agree there are a ton of crypto scams out there, do your research, and try to stay safe.
