"Why am i Blocked on your Bluesky!?"

right gonna make this journal to clerify :) and for those who feel they need to contact me
IF I HAVE BLOCKED YOU ON BLUESKY its nothing personal at all im trying to be vigilant on the new social media platform to avoid dead follows,bots and those under the age of my DNI
if your account has no profile picture. no banner. and no posts i am going to automatically assume you are one of the above it wasnt until the late days of using X i started to realize that a good portion of my follows were more than likely onlyfans bots and scam accounts.
so im curating my bluesky harshly so i can get better ideas of actual engagement with my art and other content that i post ^^ i really do enjoy comments even if i dont always have the spoons to reply to em all!!

Same reasoning here really, I think a great indicator for me is thousand's of followers/following but no content or anything.

If people poke me somewhere else to tell me they're "a real boy" with hopes and dreams I'll probably unblock em.

Same. If you have 15 followers and you follow 5,000 accounts, I will block you. Especially if your nickname is "blah blah (COMMS OPEN)"

I've gone for a more relaxed social media approach this year round. Posting less, but not entirely hiatus. Mostly just Reposting(Retweet*) art i like ~<3

Yeah, I've gotten in the habit of filtering followers on Bluesky, but iirc, you can subscribe to block lists for bots and known scammers. This is very helpful on Bluesky and a feature I don't think Twitter ever had.

those lists are very.. hit and miss as some of them those lists are miss'advertised to block trans and LGBTQIA folks for just existing like the list will say bots but its actually just folks people dont like so be careful using those.

I think I may have sent you a FR on X a while back, I don't think you accepted it, though I honestly can't remember, but I feel like I did comment to you a few times. *shrugs* No biggie though, I don't really use X much anymore either, and I don't care enough to use Bluesky.

FR? if you mean friend request i didnt know X did such a system i thought it was just follows.
and i dont usually accept friend requests on anything unless im actually friends with said person/communicait often with them
and if you dont care enough to use bluesky i dont think my journal is relevant to you :)
