Hello everyone!
How’s everyone doing?
First of all, Happy New Year!
Last year started hard, and since i haven’t updated myself in a while, it’s time to do so:
* As the title suggests, this is my last year of college, which also means the culmination of over a decade of studying as a college student, and the liberation of time slots that it haven’t been there in the same amount of time
* At the beginning of 2023 I proposed to my girlfriend to marry me, and she accepted!. It has been a long -and sometimes hard- way, but we’re now happy married
* I changed jobs, so this could be a minor update (?)
* I got a second job (yes, the crisis here in Argentina it’s heavy…and Wedding’s debts xD)
* Still learning a lot of new tricks, and knowing a lot of people
* I’ve been more social IRL (in the local fandom)
* I’ve been in a Furcon (i enjoyed so much, so much)
CW: This is a long journal

The culmination of my college degree, as i said before, means a lot of time slots are going to be free, therefore starts the opportunity fo return to draw and be more active, but also means now i’ve more responsibilities to respond, since my situation is different from my idea a few years ago, and i’ll try my best to make more realistic goals
Probably i won’t try to make any content this year, since I want to finish, and enjoy the end of this road.
Plus, I want to start making commissions as soon as possible. Since our (familiar) economy it’s trying its best to recover, I'll try to make a balance between personal and professional work.
Also, in the meantime, i was doing some “homework”, and this is probably the most biggest goals i’ve met during this hiatus:
* Reorganized my profile info, making it more simple and more consistent in all my networks
* Created a Linktree and Updated my contact info (links on the profiles)
* Created new places where to find me
* Created a Trello Board to show all the backlog i’ve, and important information as updated ToS and prices, info about each work and it’s status -Both ToS and prices are TBA-
* Learned to use PostyBirb
These goals mean nothing if I don’t do any work, but it’ll make it easier when I do
Professional Field
Since i’m graduating this year, my expectation is to look after a new job, more aligned to my expectation (in a monetary way)
It’s weird to know that, after such a long time, i’m graduating, so i’m heading to a new universe, in the sense that, since Primary School i’m studying…and i don’t know what to do AFTER that. I mean, i don’t plan to do more degrees (Not a Mg, not a PhD, maybe a short course to specialize in something -or to understand certain technology-, but nothing that takes over a year of work, it already took too many years my degree)
Why did it take me such a long time? You may ask (and people often ask or questionate me)
There’s not a “one answer” to say this, actually, looking backwards, they were a few reasons
* First of all: I was somehow comfortable (yeah, maybe too obvious)
* I took care of my grandmother (mostly at the end of her life)
* Some subjects were too much complicated
* Argentine Public Universities somehow make it even harder to graduate, but they compensate by giving a better formation. Once a friend of mine had done an exchange trip, and she said that our level it’s similar to a Mg or a PhD in the US, so…thank you, I guess?
* Until 2023, my program didn’t allow me to do up to 4, maybe 5 subjects at the same time (considering the overlapping schedules between subjects). In 2023 that have changed and duplicate my capacity, doing up to 6 subjects in the same amount of time, and duplicating my performance
But, at the end, i’m reaching the end, so, that’s all that matters, right?
Personal Field
Well, I’ve changed since I started in the fandom, and mostly, since I started college. I feel like most of my taste or kinks have changed over time…but i don’t have a record of “what i’ve expected to do after graduating”, so i start to question me what i wanted to try to do in this stage of my life and do a following in a private Trello board to keep track of those interests
Also, in the same line as I want to gain more money, one of my goals in the long-term, is to have a fursuit
After reading this, you may ask “okay, you have a second job, you want a better main job, you want to do commissions, and you’ve a family of your own, how do you think you’ll handle all of that? I simply don’t know, evenmore, I don’t know what not to study, but, we’ll figure it out. My wife supports me most of the time (if not, all of them) so I think it’ll make it easier somehow
Cheers
D~
