Okay, so! Last journal of the year! There's actually quite a bit to unload, but let's get to it shall we?
first & foremost-- Christmas. My Christmas was... not the best. We put the majority of our money towards our god-kids and the other people in our house, all of which, weren't even present. They all more or less went and spent Christmas with their families instead, and the time and effort we put into making Christmas dinner and wrapping presents & stuff felt like a complete afterthought for them. The only reason they showed up 3 days later was because we told them how much it hurt not having them there with us on Christmas day, and because there were gifts for the kids... So yeah.. We've opted to get ourselves Christmas presents come January.. And hopefully next year's Christmas will be much better.
In fact, the last like.. three months haven't been.. the best. Our two housemates (the ones mentioned above) who were once a couple, had a really ugly break-up, and there was a lot of off & on drama & petty bullshit in between which I won't get into. It got so bad that the rest of us felt like we were walking on eggshells 90% of the time, and it finally reached a boiling point where one of them had to go, and so we made the logical choice of kicking out the young woman of the two. Not only did she never do any house work & procrastinate about.. pretty much everything, but she only ever chipped in for stuff like bills & food for the house when we asked her to, and that's not how that works. You live with other people in their home, you're obligated to help with bills, cleaning up after yourself & at the very least not being a nuisance. Well, she couldn't really do any of that.. And with my wife & our partner being tired of asking for the same stuff over & over to change, they dumped everything on my shoulders to take care of it as I saw fit. So, I gave her two weeks to pack her stuff & go back to her grandparents. And naturally, of course, she took far longer than two weeks, about a month and a half actually, and only because I started badgering her about it, because I'm sure she thought everything would blow over & she wouldn't have to leave.. As it turned out, she really did need to go back to her grandparents anyway, because they're not doing very well health-wise. And don't get me wring, it's not as if we don't like her, she's a nice person & stuff, but she's not mature enough to be able to live with us, and she needs some serious therapy for the stuff she's been through..
As for the gentleman of the two whom I call my brother, he is currently skating on thin ice with us as well. We allowed him to stay with us because it was either be with us, or go back to Oklahoma. And now that his grandmother has moved to the same town we all live in, he doesn't really have that option either. He needs to go to therapy as well, because he has a lot of unresolved issues, including anger. He's always butting heads with my wife because he'll talk about doing something he shouldn't & then she'll tell him otherwise, then he'll get all pissy about it & then they'll snap at each other & it's super exhausting..
And the major problem they both have, which I've had to deal with on my own, is the lack of order & cleanliness they both possess. They're both terrible at cleaning up after themselves & because they left candy & stuff in our basement, we had a massive infestation of mice we had to deal with, too.. Which, lemme tell you, wasn't fun at all.. And they STILL have stuff downstairs in the basement they haven't dealt with, which means I'm going to have to do it myself (again) and will likely just throw it all out..
So yeah, been dealing with all of that for the last few months.. But wait, there's more!
My mother has FINALLY made plans to come and see me! ..Well.. it was just to see me at first.. Buuut after all the lovely things that have been taking place in my home country of Canada, my mother is now making arrangements to permanently move to Colorado so she can be closer to me & such. She plans to be here by my birthday & is bringing with her as much of my belongings as she can while also mailing her smaller stuff to me. This decision has left the rest of my family upset for reasons I don't know or care to know.. But to say I'm happy to have my mother closer to me is an understatement lol. She'll be staying with us for a while until she has things sorted out, but for the time being she'll be in our basement apartment which I'm working on getting put together. So I'll keep you all up to date as that goes I suppose.
𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 - I've been busy with all kinds of stuff as of late, I haven't been able to do as much artwork as I'd like. I -still- have that big commission to do which I mentioned before, and there are other smaller pieces I'd like to get finished, but with all the drama, house work, and other such things, I'm surprised I've been able to do what I've done. And what's worse, is my IPad might be on it's last legs... It takes longer to charge now and doesn't hold it's charge like it used to, and there have been some strange instances where it'll say it's dead, but actually be fully charged when I plug it into a different outlet. I moved things around and it seems to be fine for now, but that's usually a precursor for things to come in my experience with electronics.. So we'll see how that goes I guess.
𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 - I've been.. somewhat busy with gaming you could say? I've made a new account on IMVU, I've played Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero off & on, been dabbling in Monster Hunter World while also pre-ordering Wilds, and like always, I'm playing Xenoverse 2 despite people saying it's a completely dead game (even though it's not lol). But another particular game I've been playing is FFXIV. I never once thought I'd be into it, despite my love for Final Fantasy, but yeah! Right now I'm lvl 52, I'm a Dragoon, and I look like Cloud Strife from Advent Children, only I have fluffy ears & a tail~ The overall story so far has been.. Meh, but the enemies and dungeons and the several different locations you can visit are all a lot of fun~!
𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨 - So, not a whole lot of anything new in this department. I've asked for SS86 Optimus Prime for Christmas, but I doubt I'll get it. My brother gave me a Megatron figure, and a miniature bust of Optimus Prime's head on life support from the comics for my collection along with one of those Rock Lord cross-over figures. My wife got me Lockdown earlier in September from the legacy line, and I've been collecting Beyblades here and there. But otherwise, yeah.. I DID however find a bunch of my missing MTG cards I was really happy to find, and obviously I'm looking forward to my mom bringing me back a large portion of my collection I had to leave behind back home, so I'm definitely looking forward to that..
But yeah! That's pretty much all she wrote. I'm doing a small art piece right now for a friend of mine, which I'll share sometime tomorrow most likely. And from there, I guess we'll see what the new year brings, and hopefully it's not a repeat of 2020...... I digress, I hope you all have a Happy New Year, and I'll talk to you all later~!
