Haven't caught bed bugs despite being exposed, but probably because I already used defenses against related bugs (wasps, ticks, roaches, fleas, etc), I'll try to offer suggestions but I have to word it carefully, like going overboard with this stuff can cause suffocation or explosions if done naively..

Preliminary (probably forgot some important details so far);

People make the mistake of assuming everything can be dealt with in one way.
Sometimes gotta use combos..

Make the environment hostile to bugs.
Flea powder (Tetrachloryinphos) & cockroach poison/preventive (Combat - Hydramethylnon) in hard-to-clean areas, say under sink, behind/under fridge, around washer/drier, etc. is part of it, screws up places to hide.

Gotta use hot water & hot dryers to kill ones hiding in clothes (risk of ruining some clothes though).

Bugs don't like gritty dust, it jams their mechanical like joints.

"Bug Bombs" usually don't work because they can't saturate everywhere & dissipate too fast.

The best sprays, for some reason probably due to regulations, tend to be evasive on suggesting use for bed bugs.
(Probably because a irritation & suffocation hazard if over-used).
Anyway, are;
ORTHO Home Defense Max Bed Bug Killer (Bifenthrin, Imidacloprid)
Spectracide Bug-Stop (Gamma(y)Cyhalothrin)
Triazicide (more for less lived areas like garage, attic, frequently touched yard areas, etc)
Spectracide Wasp & Hornet Killer (Lambda(h)Cyhalothrin) (doesn't say for them but contains the ingredient)
There was another, like a vent box persistent fumigator thing for RV's for use when unoccupied but I can't remember the name.

*But many of these aren't good for pets, can especially harm bees, fish & birds.
So probably have to use the pet based tick sprays (Permethrin & Methoprene) for where they are (less effective but at least enough to prevent a safe space for the bugs).
**Also, some of these can fuse to plastics, so careful not to ruin your tech with them!

Something aggravating was when I was trying to eradicate someone else's, I found some ordinary household substance that killed them instantly, but I didn't write down what (or possible combo of) that did it, so I forgot >_<
I don't think it was the obvious stuffs like alcohol or bleach, may have been some other cleaners or liquid medicines, or something overlookable like food ingredients.

Forgot to mention stuff like vinyl encasements for mattresses.
Spray that stuff behind & under furniture.
Also increasing the house temperature to about 125f degrees for several hours can kill any bugs, but it's difficult to do safely (most heaters cant do that, plus could screw up some appliances, possible fire risk).
