Not much is known about her death other than she was one of the thousands of citizens in Hiroshima who died to the atomic bomb except she died only a day after her city got nuked.
And since Asami was just a minor character in the original Barefoot Gen, a backstory for her was invented.
Ushio Asami (Japanese:牛尾 麻美 ), born on September 2 1906 and died at the ripe MILF age of 38 on August 7 1945, was a nagging wife with a bad personality that's offset only by her huge mommy milkers which is highly likely the reason why her husband, who's probably now dead fighting the Americans in the Pacific, married her.
Before Hiroshima was vaporized by the atom bomb, Asami was the typical loud and nagging housewife who complained about everything and saw her own child, the stupid little thing that ruined the view of his dead mommy's tits, as a burden.
Her being born on the same date her country surrendered to the Allies was as if the universe destined her to die a humiliating death in some forest in Hiroshima.
