storyworld canon

i don't really talk about it in my pics, and it's not necessarily easy to discern from them; but i do have a pretty clear and specific canon of my chars personalities (they're weirdly complex). That's kinda why i get weirdly critical in responding to comments like "oh he wouldn't do this" or "no, Katy is the one in charge".

i'm expressing it a bit in the stories, and trying to communicate the world and it's rules gradually as they go on.

in the second story i'm gonna post (which is actually going to involve some really bad stuff (seriously, it'll actually contain some... evil reprehensible stuff that is very much not for everybody (that stuff is gore and.... worse), but directed toward a disposable character- not one of mine or of a friend's))
this very dark story illuminates a lot about what Dale is involved in and why people are terrified of him
(hint: remember the stuff hinted at in the orgy story?)

but like...
that's just an example of expressing the really dark part of the world

but that's not all of it! it's more than just dark and evil. it's still incredibly horny, but the horny needs a context. i think i need to draw a lot more "sfw" scenes that emplaces the chars in ways that reveal more of the world... or comm them

i hope i can communicate this story world in a way that shows you all what makes it so magical for me~

I think adding context to stuff like this can really enhance the experience, understanding how it fits into the world at large and giving you a better picture of the character's places in it makes their actions feel meaningful and purposed. That sort of metaconcept of the driving force behind why a character is doing something is important to my enjoyment of most things... especially porn :3

dialogue helps a bit to develop interactions and understand how the characters relate to each other, power balance, stuff like that. it can be tricky to write tho

Even when comments go against what characters would do, I think it's fun to see people's imaginations running wild, even if I sometime go in and like shoot it down hehe

this is true~

i have a clear picture of how i want the world (and characters) to function. i do definitely really appreciate people enjoying the characters and wanting to imagine them in all sorts of situations, but what happens is that it feels jarring to me to see them act really out of character...

there's a friend i talk to and we bounce ideas off of each other, and a lot of times my side of the conversation is something like "nah, they wouldn't do that, but here's what they *would* do", and then the scenes start becoming really interesting and gives him more ideas to work with, but that's not really something that can be done in comment threads x3

the character dynamics are subtle and complex. Suzy is probably the most clear example, since she wouldn't do anything (or at least not much) to hurt Sypher, and she loves to hold and comfort and take care of him, but she gets off on seeing him suffer, and will happily hold him in place while someone rapes him. She would masturbate while watching Katy brutally torture him, and then pick him up afterward and tell him how he was such a good boy and shower him with kisses.

it's these kinds of dynamics and paradoxes that are at the core of the characters. fundamental, even

you're still right: it's good for people to keep imagining. and it's good to just let people have fun sometimes x3
