It’s been a month and a day since Oreo passed away. My heart is still as broken as it was that day. My house feels like a still painting now—quiet, unmoving, and missing the spark he brought to every moment.
I’m slowly learning how to move forward, though it’s as hard as you can imagine. It’s far more difficult than I ever could have anticipated before knowing the love of a dog. Oreo changed my life, and the void he’s left behind is immeasurable.
I want to thank every single one of you—everyone who donated, shared the donation website, or sent kind words. I am profoundly grateful for each extra second your generosity gave me with him. I wish I could cry tears of happiness for all you’ve done, but my heart feels too empty to hold those emotions right now. Please know how deeply I appreciate you all.
