It gives the vibe of twitter but less toxic. I'm not sure it'll completely replace twitter but it seems more friendly at least. If twitter is still around that might be even better since all the toxicity and rage bait can just fester there instead.
I'm not sure if I should post cub on bluesky though. I've seen some on it but I think it's still tos. I'll probably just post previews like I was doing on twitter anyway.

If you ask me the most toxic ppl from twitter were the first ones to move so I don't really believe that bluesky will be a "more friendly" place. I suppose that's going to depend on what the moderation policy is. But of course if the moderation is stricter on bsky then it's more likely that kinky art will get axed. Either way I will keep an eye on it and maybe make an account next year if it's still active by then.

We'll see how the community turns out but so far I've seen a lot less hostility. That could just be due to less ppl but the fact that there's no rage baiting trending tab on the front page makes a big difference for the site I think. The UI in general is better too imo.
-No trending -No crypto and premium ads -No blue checks with priority replies -You can label things as adult so less minors will interact -You can curate the discovery tab (bsky's version of "for you") to not constantly inject politics into your feed. You don't even need to have a discovery tab since it lets you customize your feeds. I personally like to just have "following", a general furry feed and "popular with friends".
Overall I think I like it more than twitter so I hope it does well

I assume they're still running on investment capital until they grow their userbase enough to start implementing paid features. So what the site looks like now is probably not its final form and they will need to start making money too at some point.

True, but the worst I see happening is it becoming like twitter when it was still the bird app, which wouldn't be that bad if it still has the aforementioned features. Stuff like blue checks probably won't happen since nobody likes it other than porn bots and I heard it doesn't make much money.
I think bsky has a brighter future than twitter. Not that it matters too much. I don't typically get much interaction on these kinds of sites anyway. I probably need to reply to ppl's posts more but I never do.
