I know this one won't be really helpful for most people here, but maybe it'll help out one or two folks here who are really looking to get out of the states right now due to Current Events(tm)
Under the Dutch-American Friendship Treaty (DAFT), any American citizen who can 'invest' €4500 into their own business and maintain it in a dutch bank account can receive dutch residency status, with the ability to apply for citizenship after 5 years. Note that you cannot go under the €4500 or risk your residency being revoked.
I get it's a lot of money for most people here (including myself) but if it helps someone, well, this journal will have served its purpose.
