Election day.  Perosnal disappointment.

We made it to election day.

Sad update for my efforts to win Winnebago county attorney.

Wisconsin constitution requires all state and local attorney elected in WI to be board certified.

Which unfortunately I don't hold.

So while I can still win via write in, I won't be able to excute the duties of the office.

But doesn't mean I won't be voting.

We have ballot initiatives, state reps, congressional, and of course presdent to vote for.

Not going to sugar coat it, our choices are trash.

Never been one to vote for the lesser evil.

And neither party represents any worker or consumer intrests.

For those forsaking the national politics,  focus on your local posts.

They tend to be less partisan as well as the ones that make the rules of your community.

Not going to pretend the out come on the national level will be good for anyone but a handful of oligarchs.

But we can try to push up better options by building from the ground up.

This doesn't mean I'm a moderate or centrist.

Just that I know there is no representation for the left on the national stage.

And MAGA are mindless sheep to belive dems are left.

Let's put a little more effort into our elections beyond presdent and maybe we can find better options going foward.

See you all on the other side.

Yeah, even Bernie Sanders would be seen as right-wing in North European politics. You lot need to make payoffs to politicians illegal or something, including the dinner-and-book circuits. "Donate to my charity," my foot.

Yeahhh it's pretty damn crazy and pathetic, the situation we're in. Money needs to be ripped out of politics ASAP.

As Northern European (Finland), nah, Bernie wouldn't be right wing here. He'd fit right in with the social democrat ideals, so he'd be pretty centrist. He has bunch of left leaning ideas and some right leaning ideas since he's American, but overall he'd be pretty centrist.

Well, in Danish optics his right-leaning ideas would get him barred from the Social Democrats. At least as they were before everybody tried to get votes by negging immigrants,

So what happens if someone who isn't certified wins? Do you just delegate the tasks you can't do to someone of your choosing? O-o Weird setup if you can theoretically run and win but not be able to do the job, heh....

It's abysmally depressing looking at my sample ballot. Out of all the races, all but a few are Rs running unopposed >-> But like hell am I gonna skip out. Red state or no, I'm voting against the fucking fascists.

Governor will appoint an intermittently attorney to fulfill the duties of the office until a proper candidate is elected.

County board can call for a special election or simply wait for the next scheduled election.

Ah, I see. Dang. Still, kudos to you for looking for opportunities like that, heh.

Too bad, a smart center wing guy like you who doesn't get lost in himself is what the USA needs.

Now it's just a maniac and a wet blanket to choose from.

Don't get it twisted.

I'm am a socialist.

And I loath the Abrahamic religions.

I just under stand if I have to use force to compel others to follow me I'm not acting like a socialist.

I know you are, you're just a levelheaded one who isn't a bastard, you're a good man who cares for others. Nothing extreme or far left in you, a man of the people, not a faction.

I'm no fan of religion as well.

A reason I can't run for office is that I'd probably devote too much time to sending all the fraudulent CEO's to fry in the electric-chairs, and firing thousands of nukes at all the Dictators.

That sounds like a winning message to me.
