I’m getting sued for a 3year old debt.(if you know LVNV funding, they won’t wait for that statute of limitation) Currently working 12hr nights, 108 hrs every 2 weeks OT included
I’m hoping to raise close to 1k to pay this off. I don’t want to go to court :(
I did speak with them but they won’t budge or negotiate with me.
Context: I was dumb and needed to live paycheck to paycheck back then to afford rent and had to get a credit card to pay for groceries. I 100% regret it.

How old is this debt? Is it a collection agency or the credit card suing you? You shouldn't have to go to court unless the debt is huge and hasn't been paid in any way.
I'm in a similar situation where I was stupid and racked up a lot of credit card debt. I settled with the bank and they closed my accounts. Now I'm on a monthly payment plan with 3rd party company.

It’s 2 years old, the statute of limitations is 5. The collection agency is called lvnv funding, they hired a law firm to sue me for the debt. There is a case and everything. LVNV funding is apparently sue happy >.> they buy bundles of accounts and serve a bunch of ppl at once
