Why I dont use Baraag or other social media

I dislike having to navigate a hard to use UI. It wastes alot of my daily time and it upsets me.

As shit as Twitter may be. Its ease of use is S tier. It is why i marry myself to it and not any other platforms. Besides inkbunny, everything else is hard to use and hard to post. Hard to even sign in. Like baraag or mastadon. Idk whats the diff. I dont know whats a domain. I dont know whats a net.

So some content here will be censored. Probably wont see the light of day because shit is hard to use for my cavemen brain

I just use Tusky (android) for accessing mastodon servers, it feels pretty close to how Twitter works. I hear that ice cubes works really well for iOS if you have an apple phone. I like using mobile apps way better than using the web version.

Same, I don't like using sites that are a pain in the ass to use. Baraag/Mastodon is just.. too different from the site they copied from (Twitter) and it's probably why I like Bluesky a lot more because it functions similarly to Twitter but has none of the bad shit Twitter has.

I wish Twitter/X wasn't so popular for posting art on. It may be simple to make posts to it, but it's a perpetual headache to browse someone's content on it. The media tab helps, but it's a far cry from a proper gallery.

Completely and entirely understand, but completely disagree with the whole marrying yourself to twitter.

Twitter has already banned you once, and it will probably happen again at some point in the future. I have seen so many artists get nuked off twitter and very few of them win their appeal.

I respect the difficulties of learning baraag or any other platform, and I completely respect using Twitter to promote your work and reach wider audiences... But I would strongly advise against relying on Twitter.

As for the human content, IB has no rules against linking to human content. Even if you don't use baraag or other social media platforms. If you can find some random hassle free image uploading site you can continue to use IB to promote and organize your human content, but you can just host the uncensored files elsewhere.

I have seen an artist for instance upload their human content here https://catbox.moe/ and just copying the link into the inkbunny description.

Solutions like these probably won't last forever, but it will at least allow you to share uncensored versions at all on IB. If the link goes dead later then at least people got to see it.

Im afraid it would upset people if i put censored art or fan art behind pay walls. Unless majority is okay with it id be more than happy to

I’m 99% certain you can post art for free on SubscribeStar.adult; you just create a free tier and make all your art posts available to it. You can then use a paid tier as a tip jar. (Though I’m not sure if there’s any rule against posting NSFW/cub art as public posts; maybe ask other artists who post there to make sure?)

Biggest issue with SS is actually getting your account up; a whole lotta artists complain that the approval process sometimes takes a long time. So it might be something where you set it up now and then hope it gets approved eventually.

I'd post a bunch of your stuff there first then, there is a bunch of cub channels on there. I have my channels up on TG and had 3k followers at one point. good way to reach people who dont have IB or Twitter.

Honestly, sad as it is, Baraag is trash. I tried it in the past.

The system barely works on a technical level, every once in a while it bombards you with random errors and the account I once had just disappeared without notice at some point.
I appreciate the effort, but it's really useless.
