Fall of Thursday, (During the events of the Heart of the Damned)
The day after Dixie left for Thule, Sylvie that morning in her bedroom getting ready for work when she received a phone call from her mother. She picked up her smartphone and answered her mother who was sobbing over the phone. "Mom, what's wrong?" Sylvie asks with an agita tone when her mother informs her that Hruntyr, her father died last night at the hospital. Her father's illness has gotten the best of him.
Tears ran down the eyes of the Afghan hound as he listened to her mother talk to her. "Oh, mom..." Sylvie lies on her bed, sobbing at the news of her father's passing. She cried alone in her and Kaltag's bedroom.
