Hello everyone! I am calling on the furry community, my friends, and the kindness of others to aid me during my time of need when I have no other options left.
About 3-4 months ago I moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to Ohio to be with some distant family members, and was promised time to recover from the exhausting move (I drove) and could get on my feet and move in for a few months to save my cash for my own place. I had know them for 4 years and thought nothing of it.
Within two weeks the entire dynamic changed and suddenly those promises were retracted. It got worse the longer it went on, and I was essentially mentally tortured and endured it until I chose to move my stuff to a storage unit and declare my leave.
On September 2 I was unfairly evicted and thrown to the street by said former family members I was thrown out two days after my announcement. They led a mental, sometimes even combatively abusive atmosphere in their household which caused me extreme physical and mental distress so much so that after 3 months I decided to be done with it.
I am 27 years old and disabled with many health issues. I am lower income and while I manage my finances ok, this sudden I am unable to attack or defend myself in any capacity at all. Due to this I was taken advantage of and lied to and was punished when I chose not to be apart of it.
As such I am currently living in my car (which needs work), with little to no money to move or even have a fund to get accommodations. Due to my health and with the seasons getting colder, I know I won’t last long by myself. On top of that I’m 2,000 miles in a strange town all alone, away from my father who is along with my sister my only remaining family members who are also on fixed incomes.
Sadly I don’t have a luxury of friends/roommates to help so I must make do. Although I was aware I had legal ground to stand on to stay and enforce me doing so for the 30 days the environment I would’ve been subjected to (assuming they’d let me in) would have been hostile and I wasn’t going to put myself at risk. They meant business.
As such I am asking anyone who has anything to give to please donate any change they have. Due to the subsidized housing shortage it would take months.
I have never in my life ever been through this and am very afraid of what will come. I have to survive to the end of the month with barely $40 in my pocket.
I am attempting to reach a goal of $2,500 which would be the bare minimum needed to buy a nice tear drop trailer which I found and can tow with my car with change to spare for maintenance (hitch install, tires which are really needed, and car stuff). Anything greater would mean better accommodation and perhaps a newer unit.
Having a trailer (which I would prefer due to the cost effective nature of it) would allow me to circumvent the shortage and have the mobility to thrive and be comfortable.
At least anything significant generated will allow me to move with a comfortable savings to make it somewhere else. (Deposit, and important stuff).
If this goal can’t be met, anything under the 1k minimum goal will be held to help me return to my family in the west if I cannot secure a trailer or apartment.
