Fergus here. A couple of weeks ago I got my server working! It now works to centralize my files between all my computers and backs up their files.
I also got media server software installed on it. So I can now stream music, movies, and tv shows from it. I don't have much in my media library. But I'll eventually fix that.
I tried setting up a server like this a few years ago and it went very poorly. So I'm really excited that this project is finally finished.
