Okay so I don't care about this piece of crap game, but I'm upset to learn it was publicly funded.

I just wish we could opt out of having our tax money used to fund "cultural" products like this, it's as if you were forced to contribute to a gofundme for a product you would never buy. How is that any fair?

I heard about that. I also heard he came up with it in response to Trump's election. The game looks like satire.

Ah; I mostly had heard the gameplay was worthless and the characters were completely unlikable but I'm not surprised it would be political brainrot to boot.

What's even crazier is they can still charge money for their publicly funded product.

There's a lot of "games" like this that are entirely publicly funded.  One I heard of recently is called "Cat Park" and it's basically a fully tax funded propaganda game with the stated intent of "recognizing misinformation."  "Misinformation" is the Narrative buzzword euphemism which justifies the establishment of state "Ministries of Truth" where the state has the sole power to decide what is true and what is "criminal misinformation."

In CSGO* they tried doing a psyop called "bully hunters" where they literally said they would join your lobby to "counter-bully" all the "-ists" "-isms" and "-phobics" xD

*Not the devs of CSGO, an outside group of glow-in-the-dark whos

Not that all that many people bought it, lol

But that's the concern, it can still get made no matter how disliked it is because its funding is non-consensual, is this the future of entertainment? slop that nobody likes but there's litterally no other choice?

Fiat is a "debt note" which means it is literally in the negative.

So a loss of it is a writeoff for profit is a gain.  No joke.

Play the good gamez and uhhhh so will everyone else, eventually~!  10 yearz ago was pretty similar to now, it's unpopularity is what makes it so profitable.

BTW I'm getting hyped for the zombies in TF2
