Thank you all!

Thank you all so much for the warm reception to Slave Cub!  Since it's the first thing I've made I only expected a couple dozen plays, but the counter is over 150 and still going up.  I had no idea how many faves or watches to expect, but every single one makes me happy, thank you!  ^.^

Does anyone have any questions about it, or want a full achievement guide or anything?

Once I got inspired for this project, it kinda decided it was coming out of me whether I liked it or not; the demo only took me about two weeks to put together, but it was basically ALL my spare time so I can't work like that for the rest.  I've managed to get all the way to a public demo without burning out on the project, so now I need a sustainable pace for the rest.

Right now my vague timeline is to get this scene re-implemented in a different Twine format (Sugarcube instead of Harlowe) in the next month or so, and then new scenes every couple of months or so.  The overall project will probably have around a dozen scenes of similar size and complexity to the demo, plus some smaller stuff.  By the end, it'll cover a hopefully pretty wide array of (my) kinks, which cluster around the "rough play, degradation, and raunch" end of the spectrum.

That sounds like a massive task. Are you sure you want to commit yourself to such a big project for your first time?

Also, I am yet to play it but once I do I'll leave you a nice review :3

I don't think of it as committing to the entire thing; I just commit to the next piece at any given time.  What I'm talking about here is kind of like, the roadmap I'm going to follow for as long as I have fun doing it.  When I first started, I set this first scene as my target, and I wasn't gonna stress over it much if I didn't finish; all my other writing projects have ended as basically just a mess of notes, and that's kinda what I expected here.  Instead, it's two weeks later and I've got a game with around 15k words in it that can stand as its own complete thing (though players will only see a bit over a third of the text in any single playthrough).

And more than that, it was fun to make!  My usual writers' block just melted away in this format where I can write out a bunch of ideas instead of picking just one.  So instead of it being like "oh god I have all this work to do now", I just feel like I'm planning out how to have more fun, and the real danger is pacing myself to avoid burnout.  I'm not taking anybody's money yet, nor blueballing the internet by releasing an incomplete sex scene, so if I don't end up making the whole thing, there's no harm done.  And I think as long as I can keep it fun and low-stress, I have a really good chance of finishing it.  The whole thing will need like 12 scenes, so it'll take a few years, but that's fine by me.

And thank you!  Judging from your writing I think you'll like it.  ^.^

That's fair enough! As long as you're having fun doing it, go crazy. You're pretty good at this so I'll be looking forward to whatever it is you make

Eyyy first posting and you are already on the Popular pages!^^

And I think it's good that you are setting realistic expectations for your output to not stress yourself out and burn out over it, looking forward to seeing what comes next!

I did?!  Awesome!!  ^.^

Yeah, thanks!  A long trail of unfinished hobby projects has finally taught me I need to treat "I must enjoy it" as the single, unbending rule that everything else must work around.

Like, this game could probably have a bigger audience if it wasn't noncon cub porn.  But then I wouldn't get to write a bunch of noncon cub porn, and where's the fun in that?  >;3

Listening to the muse is a great productivity enhancer!

And if you at some point want to make a one-shot 2000 word story in a completely different setting then do so instead of having it nagging in the back of your head hehe
