No, this isn't the next Writing Challenge-- That's for next weekend. :) Why next weekend? Well, you just gotta stay tuned, yes? ;) And the prescient amongst you who already have guessed why will already know one, maybe two of the three keywords involved... But that's for next weekend. :)
So far, we've had a fair start, with two submissions (other than my own), each offering their own take on the keywords SQUIRREL, PANTIES and RADIO, which can be in any context, except for one caveat: I'm not expecting the obvious. :) Mine is so far the only serious story amongst the three, but the other two have been quite delightful. It isn't closed, so I hope I can expect more.
Why am I doing this? Well, Renee Carter-Hall, aka Poetigress, has her "Thursday Prompt" on FA and dA-- I wanted to do something similar here on Inkbunny, but unlike hers, I have no set day of the week or anything, beyond a few simple rules:
I select three keywords-- These most likely will be objects, but it might be an action or emotion or something else as one of the keywords. These need not be related- It will not be a phrase, I can guarantee that! One will always be a species, though.
The writer may write a story of ANY length (short is good, but not required) using the three keywords. I don't want to add restrictions, even though some things don't appeal to me. These may be funny, sad, thought-provoking, whatever-- All I ask is that they be imaginative. These may be from G to XXX-- Just be imaginative. :)
Think you might be up to it, or, if you've already written one, interested in doing another? There is no limit- Just tell me you got one, and I'll add it to that challenge's list of submissions. :)
Inkbunny is relatively new, and all I want to do is invite a bit of fun.
Oh, and distribution outside of Inkbunny is up to the writer- I'm not going to stop you from posting a story elsewhere-- I encourage it, actually, as long as it's posted here, too, for the challenge. :)
Any questions? Ask! The Writing Challenge is a Work-In-Progress, and it grows with you.
