Why 'The Permanent Booru'?

The 'Permanent' part is taken from two factors.

One being this site was developed as an alternative to the deterioating booru e621.net. With the e621.net staff being trigger happy on the nuke button, this site is an actual attempt at archiving everything furry. Permanently.

The other factor is with the use of IPFS and it's data location permanency. Once a files url is known, it will never not be there!

Oh wow a "black cube" company based internationally which uses the word "global" and with a shadowy owner named Juan Benet who seems to shout out the "zcash" guys a lot on twitter.  Zcash isn't private and they have backdoors which they hand over to any international agency who requests it.  XMR can't do that, they would need to control a majority of the nodes in order to even attempt to track anyone~!

Here's the deal, you want it?  Then, you save it, on your own hardware.  Ideally, offline.  You don't just hand it over to some company in Portugal or Spain or in Tel Aviv, israel.  You save it yourself on your own hardware.

You'll notice that filecoin got a ton of mainstream media shilling done for it.  Especially in 2020-2021 during lockdown.  The censorship is only getting worse.  It certainly did not stop the "vaccine" mandate or the amateur pr0n takedowns~!

Been tracking E621's steady and progressive backstepping. It's really their bomb-collar that's chained to Bad Dragon, without that patron hosting the site would be dead on arrival. E6AI, their variant with AI stuff, went out of its way to largely maintain a blanket ban on cub and anything adjacent to that since it started. This all makes me think that behind the scenes, Bad Dragon and by extension E621 have received heightened scrutiny, something I projected as far back as May of 2023 when FA's policy change hit.

With the major sites in the fandom all pivoting this direction with affirmation, it really looks like a collection of site administrations all arriving to the same conclusions that I've been arriving to. Internationally speaking, I like to call this trend the "Anime is Real" preceedent. Excepting the U.S. a lot of major international countries have rulings that effectively rate "obscene illustrations" as criminal (The U.K., New Zealand, Canada, France, Germany; as easy examples). Having adopted the U.S.'s Obscenity definitions almost down to a T including the 3-pronged Miller Test, the policy decisions in these countries (which are major populations in the larger furry fandom) seem to be pushing a precedent that U.S. sites are wary of. In the U.S. itself of course we have pending disasters like the "Project 2025" movement, which has a stated policy goal of complete criminalization of all forms of pornography (illustrated and otherwise).

It's very roughshot. My advice to everyone is to lean towards strategic ambiguity, off-site peer to peer networking for content distribution, and other methods in plausible deniability (EG, not using certain tags, adapting artstyle to be more ambiguous such as Dacad's shift after 2017). I don't think a reversal is in the cards anytime soon, sadly.

Very interesting first paragraph, but the second paragraph is B.S. psyops.  The only reason everything is getting censored is because "furry" is the only form of organic "media" that exists which cannot be bought or sold (and therefore controlled).

Be careful not to give them feedback or advice on how to do it better.  The "powers" that control the "real" media control everything from entertainment to "news" to "historical documentaries" and have to power to make wrong into right on a whim.  Furry is the one and only form of media that is not under their control directly hahah.  You have to admit that you see it, there's a reason you're a furry and not some memename on a mainstream social media website.  If you're not, "in the club" (one of their many accounts) then you get banned.  It's like how Night Media "talents" comprise all of the most "popular" youtubers.  Their numbers are literally not possible.

Talking about the subject matter itself is part of the trap.  The problem is the censorship, and the reason it is being done is not the reason that they say they are doing it. :P

I agree with mini void, ATF is actually asking for people whose content was nuked off e621 to reupload to their own site and are also in the process of restoring the deleted content with the help of some anonymous users who saw this whole thing coming in advance and have been using tools to literally downloading everything.

All The Fallen booru is a booru dedicated to loli/shota content but they also allow and are completely fine with cub works too , furry works are on the blacklist automatically for users but it's literally just an option that you can touggle on/off even if your not logged in so it's not really a problem, I definitely recommend posting there if you're able to.

Somebody previously mentioned that the change was due to an ultimatum. The people they have hosting the site for them told them to either remove the aforementioned content, or else they were going to nuke the entire site.

Personally, I go there more for the furry art, than the human stuff, but there was still a lot of good artwork that got wiped.

At least we're still allowed to have goblin girls... for now.

I believe part of it stems from a desire on some people's part to appear as -- and feel themselves to be -- "Morally Superior."

Go on Twitter and you will see tons of back and forth flame wars and discourse where Furries routinely attack L0li / Sh0ta people and call them every name in the book, but as soon as the "lol, dog fucker" rebuttals start flying from the other side, the Furries be like "NUH UH, THAT'S NOT THE SAME, THE CHARACTERS ~WE~ JERK OFF TO ARE ALL ANTHROS!" ..... as if that actually makes any difference in the eyes of the Furry Haters.

What is a Furry attracted to? Animal features in a cute cartoon character.
Take away the Paws, Maws, Knots, Cute Ears and Fluffy Fur and what is left?

A human character.... without those animalistic aspects, Furry would not be Furry.
It would just be humans... (albeit, fictional anime style humans)

I don't think that liking Furry Art automatically makes somebody a zoophile,
and I don't think that liking Anime Style Sh0ta / L0li makes somebody a P-phile.

But to blindly and hypocritically act like one is better than the other is hilarious and stupid.
