hi, my brain tumor is growing back

in 2014, I had to have brain surgery for an acoustic neuroma brain tumor. It was record breaking in size and I wouldn’t have made it past age 23 without the surgery.

today I learned after my most recent MRI, that this tumor is indeed coming back :/

it’s not an urgent situation like it was in 2014, but I’ve been given the choice to undergo a 2nd gamma knife radiation treatment.

this is putting me in a tricky situation, because the radiation treatment has complications like permanent hearing loss, more balance issues and possible permanent facial paralysis..
in other words, I don’t wanna fukin go thru this mess again >:(

god damnit …
I have been thru enough tribulation.
I’m gonna lose my mind :(

That is very scary. I'm sorry to hear you have had such struggles and you're heading back into another one. I know it sucks, but I think you have to roll those dice again. I'd take the risk on those complications over the certainty of death everytime.

You beat it once, you can beat it again, stay strong Kipp.

Are there any other options treatment/surgery wise other than radiation therapy?

unfortunately, no,, I’ve had this tumor since I was born
& they can’t remove all of it because it’s pressing on my brain stem.
the only thing we can do is gamma knife radiation and hope it doesn’t grow any further

Died of a brain Tumor, and he was a great horror story teller in his movies.
He made many movies which I like watching including the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise.

Best of luck, I would pray for you, if I believed in such things.

You know I can't imagine what you are going through. The pain and all of the trauma that you have to face dealing with such a tough disease. I had many people in my family who died by tumors. I sympathize what you are going through. I know it's scary and I know you hate it. Have to go through so much just to try to survive I hate cancer. But look at it like this at least you are catching it early and is able to maybe do something about it even if the outcomes is not quite what you like. No one likes losing their hearing no one likes to be paralyzed in any area of their bodies and no one likes pain. Radiation is always a process that many hate. I will keep you deeply in my prayers. I pray for you to have a speedy recovery after the surgery that you go through. Remember keep being courage. Never give up continue on fighting you'll make it through.

I’ll get radiation done again if it means I’ll be around for you all longer, but my situation is rather inevitable.
I “may” not be around as long as I’d like to be,
but that’s okay. I’ve gotten everything I need out of this life and more I believe

I envy you 😞, because when you recover you will be able to have fun and go to an amusement park, unlike me who hate living as an epileptic and will never have that fun, and I will die without ever riding a toy, I HATE THIS LIFE OF MY 😭😭

I don't count yourself out like that. You know as I always say and I say it all the time. Of course we do not know when the end is near here or when we will hit the end. We all must get there one day. But just don't need to rush it. As I always say grim reaper knows everyone address phone number and whatever form of communication. When is our time is our time. But until then enjoy life the way that it was intended to be. Regardless never give up on yourself. We are very powerful when we put our thoughts and mind to it. Don't matter what the situation we can overcome anything it will really believe. I know it's hard to see that sometimes when you have a bunch of stuff that comes at you at once especially we are dealing with something like this. But overall know that you have the power and you have the choice. And others just have to respect where every wishes that you have. I do understand that. But I do wish you the best. And I believe you're a come out any stronger. No matter what the situation or the outcome maybe. As long as you at peace with yourself that's what matters the most.
