The last month of "blitz" pricing is here, and for the last two months, we've seen some degree of success with trying a dramatic shift back to older prices.
However, we haven't seen enough to make me think that permanently lowering my prices by that amount is the right way forward for me, so, I've got one last hurrah planned for this month, and how we do is gonna determine how things go for the rest of the year, 2025, and beyond.
I can't really justify dropping prices any further than their current "blitz" levels, but what I can do is offer one more piece of incentive, and this one has more permanent implications.
The Challenge
For July, I'm not opening a particular word count. I'm setting a funding goal, and as many words as we have to sell to get there, that's what matters.
I've got two pricing blocks in mind for the other side of the Summer Blitz event.
Level 1 would be $35/1k for Standard, $45/1k for Rush (I'm eliminating quickie and super rush to avoid redundancy,) $55/1k for Next Day Completion, and $65/1k for Same Day Completion. This is the default I'm planning on, and with it, I'd never need to raise prices again, realistically.
HOWEVER. If we manage to sell $5,000 in commissions in July...
Level 2 will be $30/1k for Standard, $40/1k for Rush, $50/1k for Next Day Completion, and $60/1k for Same Day Completion.
In the literal sense, Level 2 would be a step back from what I was charging in 2023, but for all the bullshit articles I've read about how the average consumer has so much buying power right now, I know that real people (like my customers) could use some relief, and if I set my completion deadlines properly, I can make an okay living off of those Level 2 prices, hopefully.
Yes, $5,000 is an exceptionally lofty goal, but hitting this amount, even for the month, would make a world of difference in my life, and if you don't dream big, you aren't dreaming hard enough, so...let's do it.
