What the heck happened to search?

Used to be able to get pretty accurate results searching for multi-word tags, or multiple tags, but these days unless we specifically search for “exact phrase” and only search for a single multi-word tag when doing so, it will find anything that just happens to mention those two words anywhere in the tags. It’s… kind of frustrating

I am so convinced that every single search is connected to google and is being effected by its enshittification.

hmm, is it actually connected to it? normally it would say "powered by google" or "google search" on it.

rip if google's got bad though i rarely use it and i don't know anyone who's talked about those problem so i'm not familiar with that stuff.

I have no proof but after google kinda went shitty I switched to duckduckgo and it was fine for a bit but now it's just as janky as google.

And when that changed it seemed like everything else did... tho I suppose Microsoft started investing in duckgo (and now they even openly use A.I....) so it's possible that just everything decided to dive into the septic tank with google.

It's the fact that everything seems integrated with either google, apple or facebook nowadays so it's easy to see search engines poisoned by google.

There's also the fact that kind of everything steals from everything now... if that hadn't always been the case...
