Three months ago after a long period of research and deliberation, an 8 week old German Shepherd puppy came into my life. Not through random happenstance, but a deliberate act and the culmination of a lifetime of wanting. I've always wanted a German Shepherd and finally I am in the right part of my life to make it happen.
At that age they sure do demand a lot of work, and deprive you of sleep. My adult dog feels the pain too, as his life is thrown upside down. Basically my life has revolved around puppy and my dogs for the past 3 months (and then some). There is life at the end of the tunnel. We've got the housetraining cracked; I'm starting to be able to get a whole night's uninterrupted sleep, and not *too* many things are being chewed up and destroyed. The lack of writing is driving me crazy and I can't go on like this much longer. So, I think in a couple of months, writing will start getting back to normal. Sorry for keeping you guys on hold so long, once again, but I cannot convey to you just how much this little puppy has taken all of my focus and energy and attention.
She's worth it though, and is amazing :)
